Dom and KR working together in the KGB (if that part of his story was true) would be an interesting parallel to Red and Liz.

I need to re-watch the last ten minutes. I thought I heard Dom telling Red that he denied that he was Oleander, that he didn't tell his granddaughter anything at all. However, Dom is Oleander, if I heard correctly, and he still thinks Red is a self-centered jerk. (That's what I got from his tone)
I agree that KR might still be alive, but Anna Hopkins was only a character on tonight's show, no connection to KR, in my opinion.
Iowa Watcher - I agree with all of those conclusions, especially that he still thinks Red is a self-centered jerk.

Tuxie400 - if Red really is bio dad, there's another twist to it since that isn't the secret, right? I think the group has talked about that twist before. Something Red is maybe ashamed of, so much so he doesn't know how to begin to tell Liz.
Yes, that might be the twist. Or the twist could what Bokenkamp keeps saying: why Liz is important and the chosen one.

That’s what i tend to think, Lara. There is something so horrible he doesn’t feel worthy of being her “father”, and that he can’t begin to explain to her, etc. That shame may play a huge role in how he behaves and that he has done everything for her in his attempts to redeem himself while protecting her.
I like your take on that, Brittany. I think something like that is definitely at play.

Tuxie400 - #83 - yes that could be it also. At one point Red chose her instead of the mother. why we don't know. But maybe ti ended up being part of the horrible thing whatever that was, if it was.

It also takes me back to what Red said at Cape May when talking about how he couldn’t hurt Tom because it would be to hurt Agnes. Maybe if Red hurt or killed or got KR killed he feels he committed a mortal sin because to hurt Liz’s mother would be to hurt Liz.

Sometimes the truth could be more simple than we think. (maybe)
The statement Red told to Tom about the bones has bugged me.
Red told Tom, "What if instead of happiness and closure it has the opposite effect?"
Dom said he had made a colossal mess of things.
Dembe said, "Raymond, I'm not sure Elizabeth will ever be ready to learn what you did to Katarina."
Going to Cape May,
We know there was a Hobsons choice.
We know he told KR he was sorry at Cape May. She said he 'did save her through Masha. Then said he chose well.'
There had to be something that went down real ugly and he made that choice.
What is Liz was supposed to be hiding and came out and someone found out about her and used her against KR. The reference was made that they had threatened her in the fire dialog.
It could be Liz having to learn that it was something she had done and he had to choose between them and she had to be hacked up and shoved into a suitcase and buried out of site so no one knew she was really dead could be overwhelming to her.

lara1 - A lot of things in this ep were reminding us about Katarina - especially when Dom referred to old ghost stories. I do think they showed a redhead being buried to make us think it was Katarina in the suitcase. But I'm still not convinced it is.

I just did some looking around. I think he is a US Marshal They are appointed by the President. They oversee things a few things and one of those things are Drugs.....
There are currently 94 of them right now.

It sure does Tuxie! When Dom said old Ghost Stories my hairs stood up!
The Marshall’s also manage witness protection, federal courthouse security and track down fugitives.

Brittany - witness protection? now that is interesting. we've seen that over the course of the series.
Naomi, and Kate's sister are two that stand out.
I still keep thinking Red is living an alias life of some sort.

I looked up U.S. marshals too, and I didn't see anything about their role in drug enforcement. From what I read they have four roles, the three Brittany listed in #91 and management of criminal assets. So unless the Nash Drug Syndicate is being protected as a group of criminal assets, I don't know what Garvey would have to do with them.

Yep. It opens up a huge options with Garvey.
On a side note there was a show called In Plain Sight that was really good. It was about Witness Protection and the Marshalls who manage the witnesses.

I saw about the witnesses too. But I also saw they work with the DEA fugitives.

So I am thinking back to what Dom said. will of course have to watch it again.
But I'm thinking he was very smart to tell Liz what he did. That way, she got what she felt was an answer and probably walked away satisfied. If he had been evasive about KR, she would have kept digging and probing around. However, she is probably still going to look for Oleander.
Don't know if Dom really worked with KR. it sounds unusual. Unless part of his overall cover. Working at the office of analytics or whatever. But really an operative. In any event, it seemed to satisfy Liz at least for now.
Lara- we never have learned what KR’s cover was. She had to travel without being suspected by Rostov. Maybe they both had cover jobs in the same building or field? He could have also just made that up. It’s hard to tell at this point.

lara, I think he just said that. I don't think he would have said it was his daughter. But needed to say something as you indicated. Because we know she would have kept digging!

Overall, it was great episode. I just wish Dom had given Liz more info about Katarina. I have to confess, I didn't care much about the other storylines. The Invisible Hand group reminded of the friends in Mr. Robot who are taking down the corporation that gave their parents cancer, but they do it through technology and hacking. I do wonder about Red's accidental shooting and if that theme plays into the suitcase body in some way.

So, do we conclude that Kate knew who he was and never said?
