Lara- I saw that. It makes me wonder if the 1981 birthdate is what he established his Tom Keen identity under and so he always goes with it regardless of his actual birthdate.
The postcard could have come from a store in town I suppose. Or he could have sent away for one? Thought I don’t know why he would.

The inside of the Keen apartment is the same one Kaplan was in at the end of Season 4. But the outside didn't look the same as the one Liz and Red drove by last season.
I agree with Brittany that the 1981 date is the ficticious Tom Keen's birth year, and not really Jacob Phelps'/Christopher Hargraves'. I could never understand why the Redemption writers changed his kidnapping to happening at 4 years old, rather than 3.

I think they have a problem keeping their stuff together. They should know the fans are all over this.

lara, you are going to have a lot of stuff for your parallels!

Brittany and Tuxie400 - that makes sense. It would also mean that he really was only 10 years old when The Major picked him up. More Fagin-esque I guess. A younger child.
Eastcoast - LOL. so true.

...although of course, young Tom looked older than 10 in that episode. LOL.
We also have to remember that the Tom storyline with the major and the kidnapping wasn't something they planned in the very beginning so it may be part of the inconsistencies of the show. I mean, it isn't hard to go back and use the same year and have him kidnapped in 1984, but whatever. They've adjusted Liz's birth year a couple of times.

Brittany - for sure. I did find it interesting for a little while there to think that Liz was born the same year Tom (Christopher) disappeared. but yeah, whatever.
