Common numbers:  36, 21, 12, 24 -
- all divisible or reducible to 3
Both 21 and 36 are divisible by 3; and
36= 12x3 (and 12 = 1+2=3)36 = 3 plus 6 (1x3; 2x3); 3x12
12 is the reverse of 21 and vice-versa
12x2=24; 12x3=36

 in numerology, 36 distills to 9 (3+6), and 9 is 3 x 3
in numerology 21 distills to 3 (2+1)
Liz's triangle symbol = 3

Christmas Eve - Dec 24 or 12/24.
12 plus 24 = 36
24 in numerology = 6 (2 +4), which again (6) equals 2x3
24 is the reverse of 12 (Month of December)

Three keeps appearing as part of these numbers.

The Blacklisters
Luther Braxton - #21
The Decembrist - #12
The Director - #24
(No #36 yet)
Numbers that reflect back to the core numbers.

Re: Numbers, Times on Clocks and Clock References

Great list Lara1! Thanks!

I did a quick Google of "Blacklist" and "clock" and came across a Blacklist Twitter from 10/20/16 that said "the clock is ticking."

Am sure there are many clock/time references in Blacklist. Will let you know of any I spot.

Wonder what the writers are trying to tell us. Maybe when the series ends we'll see a montage of all the clues - like at the end of The Usual Suspects. Our mouths will drop :-)

Re: Numbers, Times on Clocks and Clock References

Thanks Eastcoast!  So far most of the times I have noted are in and around 12 midnight, and then in the range of 5-5:30.  So that is interesting!

Re: Numbers, Times on Clocks and Clock References

So here is a kind of wild and crazy connection between the X-Files and TBL that I discovered today.  I did read somewhere that the Johns, or maybe one of them, was influenced by the X-Files.  (which happens to be one of my all time favorite shows - are you surprised?  LOL)

Anyway - one of the TV stations here broadcast the very first two episodes of the X-files today, which I hadn't seen in like.....forever.

The first episode starts out somewhat like TBL - a relatively new FBI agent, Dana Scully, is summoned to the Director's office, they quickly run down her resume, we learn that Mulder has a nickname and Scully meets Mulder.

within the first five minutes of the episode, and probably within the first minute of meeting each other Mulder and Scully discuss something called Einstein's Twin Paradox....which happens to be about the theory of relativity, an experiment with twins, and time and the aging process.  And - the Einstein Twin Paradox is also referred to as - get this - the "clock problem".  LOL

I can't do it justice here because the theory seems quite involved but anyone who is really interested in it can just google Einstein Twin Paradox and lots of stuff will pop up.

anyway put a smile on my face on this Sunday afternoon.....  And, it brought me back to this page when I refreshed my memory about the time and clocks mentions in TBL.   I was going to update this list during my re-watch but I never got to re watch!  so I'll add the stuff from 5.01 when I have a moment....

Re: Numbers, Times on Clocks and Clock References

lara1 - Bokenkamp was an X-Files and Chris Carter fan. Chris Carter was helping him shop his TV pilot before he got the green light for The Blacklist.

You know what my theory is. You can make a Blacklist connection to almost anything. Lord know I have. It's like six degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon. LOL

Re: Numbers, Times on Clocks and Clock References

Thanks Tuxie!  I had read that before but just could not remember what the connection was.

Six degrees of separation indeed!  So true!  LOL.

Re: Numbers, Times on Clocks and Clock References

Hi all, I added to the first post under this heading (the running list of numbers/clocks) to update for Season 5 and any other things remembered.

If I missed anything let me know and I will add.

Changes from today are in RED.

thanks!

EDITED to ADD:  I should note, I am mainly noting instances of 3, 12 and 36; as well as 21.  Although in this past episode, 5.07, the number 7 was referred to a lot.  The numbers 21 and 7 feature in card games.

Re: Numbers, Times on Clocks and Clock References

Here is another one for you, lara1. The origin of the name Yakuza comes from a Japanese card game. Here is the Wikipedia description.

The name "Yakuza" originates from the traditional Japanese card game Oicho-Kabu, a game in which the goal is to draw 3 cards adding up to a value of 9. If the sum total of your hand exceeds 10, the second digit is used as your total instead, with the exception of 10 (which equals 1). If the three cards you draw are 8-9-3 (pronounced ya-ku-sa in Japanese), your score is 20 and therefore zero, making it the worst possible hand you can draw.
