Brittany - good point. I think i remember reading somewhere that 20/20 is, or was, required. Heh heh.

Here's something I found about current admissions standards for the Naval Academy:
For the US Naval Academy and Navy ROTC, Coast Guard Academy and Merchant Marine Academe (sea services) the refractive error limit is -6.00 diopters. The -8.00 diopters is for the US Air Force Academy and US Military Academy and the respective ROTC programs.
So up to those levels, corrective lenses would be allowed.

Thanks Tuxie. I was half joking, as I'm not sure that the show's creators thought much about glasses or no glasses re the Navy (or did they, ha) and just grabbed a photo of Spader. But I think its a good point.

I think vision is only an issue if you want to be a pilot. A fellow I know didn’t go,into the USAF because his vision wasn’t good enough. His dad had been a pilot.
That’s interesting about the eye sight thing.
On a side note, if you want to take away the heartbreaking sting of The Sound of Silence by Disturbed, trying listening to the one recorded by the cast of the Trolls movie. 🤣. I’m dead. My daughter has decided to play it on repeat in her bedroom as she falls asleep.

While rewatching Season 2, I've noticed some more things that tied into the Ian Garvey episode. In Luther Braxton Part 2, Braxton threatens to drill a hole in Liz's head to get the memories out. Then in Leonard Caul, Liz and Red have a bloody hand hold in the mobile ER. When I saw Dembe and Red's bloody hand hold in this episode, I was thinking there was a similar one somewhere.

interesting, Tuxie400. Liz's head injury kept reminding me of Kaplan. Drilling holes in heads is another parallel.
