Oh good! I thought I was losing it!

Tuxie400 - thanks! yes, Honey West, on thrushes. I figured it would (ultimately!) be easier to find there. just in case as the History channel thing progresses, any of us have any observations or note any parallels we'd like to discuss.

I personally think it's easier to find the info on the hiatus threads here. If we're going to put them on Thrushes, I think we should title a thread Zodiac Killer.

Tuxie400 - thanks. I guess it could go in either place. I ultimately put it in MK Ultra because there was a discussion of Zodiac embedded in there, screenshots, links to articles etc. And weaving together all of the California references - MK, case study etc. (Actually re-reading that thread was really interesting.).
I'm happy to place the comments anywhere though. whatever works best.

I would never think to look for California Connections including the Zodiac under MKUltra. I wondered where all that Case Study Houses stuff was. Is it possible for the moderator to change the title of the thread to California Connections?

...yeah I think it was just one of those discussions that meandered a bit!

Argh! It's only been two weeks, but I'm going through TBL withdrawl!
Same here, Iowawatcher. I'm eager to see how they handle Liz waking up from her coma and the rest of the crowd during the time jump. I miss the gang.

Yes I can't wait to see where/how this picks up. At least with the busy holiday season, the time will go faster!

December will be a very long month! I've been rewatching BL Season 1.

Hey Tuxie - let us know it you spot any repeat clothing items on different characters. (heh heh)
Offline
lara1 - I haven't noticed any other characters wearing the same clothes than you have already mentioned. However, I did notice Liz wore a white crossover blouse in 5.08 that she wore many, many times in Season 1.

Tuxie400 - the only other item I can think of offhand, and when I first seriously picked up on wardrobe, is Katarina's sweater on the beach in Cape May. She is wearing a kind of sweater coat/jacket with a belt (maybe). The one that she takes off and folds, and leaves on the sand. But the style and color of the item (a kind of maroon/burgundy - a kind of RED), is very much like what Carla/Naomi wore in the last scene when she meets with Red before departing with Frank from the cabin. It may even be the same one, I never looked that closely. But definitely similar. And Scottie wore that color a lot in Redemption. Then again maybe wardrobe just like that color! Then again, it is a kind of red.

One thing I remembered observing at the time, but not sure I've gone back to look at again, is that Liz wore a lot of red in Season 1. The most obvious being that bright red gown. And she looks in the mirror and sees Red's reflection as he enters the room, and then she turns around. That's when I first started thinking about mirrors. And kind of the reverse in Cape May when Red looks in the mirror over the mantel and sees katarina behind him as she enters the room.
On her birthday, Liz wore a patterned scarf with a lot of red in the pattern. Wasn't sure then, and not sure now, what it means.

lara1 - The thing I noticed most about Liz's Season 1 wardrobe is that she wore a variety of colors - reds, blues, purples, browns and very rarely black. And Tom wore plaid shirts during the first half of the season when he was under suspicion by Liz and getting grilled at the post office.
I looked at Carla/Naomi's sweater. The color is similar to Katarina's in Cape May, but they are very different styles. Carla's was a long wrap-around belted sweater and Kat's was a turtleneck.

Ah yes, Tuxie400. Sorry I was referring to the sweater/coat that KR folded up and left on the sand with the necklace. Or maybe that was the coat, that Kate then wore at the ice rink. LOL those clothes get around!
By the way I was thinking about the coat/sweater and necklace the other day. I went back and forth as to whether Red was there when KR walked into the water. If he had been, though, would he have left the necklace? I tend to think he would have picked it up and taken it. Unless he wanted to leave it as "proof" to whomever, that KR walked into the ocean. Or he was too distraught to have seen it. IDK. But I tend to think he wasn't there. I'm thinking maybe that was one of the things that the necklace showed us - the guy on the beach found it (improbable but I'll go with it) because no one else had. Maybe.

Has anyone watched Frontier on Netflix? I just finished it today. It’s pretty good. Historical fiction, Jason Momoa, and a story of vengeance for a lost family is all right up my alley.

Brittany - I haven't heard of Frontier. But I have been watching Godless on Netflix, and it's very good. Its theme is loss of family and taking on other people as replacements for family. I'll check out Frontier as well.

I have been watching Mindhunter on Netflix. IMO its very good, just released last month. Takes place in the late seventies and centers around two FBI agents and a psychologist (Anna (?) Torv from Fringe) as they study serial killers in the early days of criminal psychology. For me, it got off to a slow start but I was hooked by the end of Ep 2. The lead actors work very well together and are totally believable in their roles (IMO). Its just been renewed for a second season.

I loved Mindhunter as well. I also read the book from which it was based. I think I’m moving on to Godless next.
