Thanks Tatiana.  Well, that kind of sums up my thoughts, as a believer in the imposter theory....in some iteration.....

Re: Summer 2017 Discussion - episodes, theories, characters, etc.

I'm very under the weather folks!  My usual allergies...
I did the re-watch, but now I'm watching randomly.
It may have been discussed but if it was I don't remember it.  My question is about Naomi.

Fire is Decemberish 1989.

Kr goes in ocean Jan.or Feb. Of 1990.

Red is in the Navy during this time and is going home for Christmas10-11 months later. Then, "a highly respected officer"  disappears  Dec. Of 1990.

In Dec. 1990 Naomi & Jennifer are put in protective custody.  They thought she was part of it. Part of what?
He was in good standing until 4 years later in 1994.
Did they think she had something to do with him missing?

Any thoughts welcome!

Eastcoast - So sorry about your allergies. Mine used to repeatedly result in horrible sinus infections
I hope you will be feeling better soon..

As for Naomi, the part of what is a big question. And we never really understood why they would have been put in witness prptection.

Re: Summer 2017 Discussion - episodes, theories, characters, etc.

Quirky little factoid I just noticed while looking at the lists of aliases for both Liz and Red:

In Wujing, Red gave Liz the alias Carolyn Givens. One of Red's aliases is Mr. Givens (I don't know from what episode though).

My apologies if this is old news that's already discussed :-)

Re: Summer 2017 Discussion - episodes, theories, characters, etc.

Aaahhh... another of Red's aliases is Sherman Phelps.

Tom's name is Jacob Phelps.

If I look Red's aliases list again and see the name Hudson, my head will explode!

P.S. All the aliases are from Blacklist wiki.

Re: Summer 2017 Discussion - episodes, theories, characters, etc.

Colleen - I knew both Liz and Red had used a Givens alias, but I didn't know Red had also been a Phelps. Interesting!

Re: Summer 2017 Discussion - episodes, theories, characters, etc.

The Blacklist posted a pic the other day with a book called "The Nix" in a chair.
I thought that was interesting because it's about a parent child relationship that needs some mending so to speak.

Re: Summer 2017 Discussion - episodes, theories, characters, etc.

With regrds to TBL moving up into September, much of it to do with pnic - other shows scheduled for October debuts - now moving into September - TBL/NBC doesn't wnt to concede leg up to other shows (new or established)  - my theory!

Re: Summer 2017 Discussion - episodes, theories, characters, etc.

As many times as I have seen the L. Braxton conclusion I can hardly believe i just saw something new.  Maybe one of you saw it already?
I have been trying to get a good shot of all the flashes. I got some better pics and will try to post in next few days.

Just before Liz looks at her wrists to see them burned, Red touches her wrist. As soon as he does that you can see someone touching her wrist very quickly in her memory , looks like the man in the coat.
Has anyone else noticed that?

Another thing, I got a good pic of what i think looks like a bald man at the end of the hall. I got a pretty good one of that split ceiling.  It looks like it could be the inside of the barn. There is a lot of discussion about the fire memories being recreated there.
So I was thinking about how they went about creating the memories with Ressler.
Maybe this is where they tried to replace the bad memories with good ones that she was experiencing. Playing around the trees etc...
It was obvious she knew of the fire and it was useless to erase it all together especially with the scar.  So they Could have set up a fake Room similar to the one she had and let her experience simply being led out of the house which would be much less traumatic.
For me, this would explain the different times on the clocks.

😴😴

Re: Summer 2017 Discussion - episodes, theories, characters, etc.

Eastcoast - Seeing someone in a coat touch Liz's wrist in the fire memory is something that's escaped me. Is it in one of the flashes? Is it the man in the light colored coat or the dark colored coat?

I have never noticed a split roof. Do you have a photo of that? If it is the flash of the barn, then it may indicate the location of the memory replacement.

It amazes me that we can still find new things in episodes, even after having watched them many times before.

Re: Summer 2017 Discussion - episodes, theories, characters, etc.

Tuxie, I mentioned it one time a long time ago. I don't think anyone else saw it.  I let it go because I thought maybe it was my imagination.
Here are 2 pics of the wrist.

The second one really is not a good pic, but there is no way to get it any better.  It was a dark colored scene so the only color is the fire and her wrist. I tried to lighten it and nothing helped.
I did leave the Times on both so you can see how fast it is. It all occurs in the same second. I will say that if you rewind it a few times and look at it, it's very clear what happens. I actually watched it about 6 times.
I think maybe the coat was hot and might have burned her.  Maybe that's why she said no one really tried to hurt her.

Re: Summer 2017 Discussion - episodes, theories, characters, etc.

Here is the pics of the ceiling.

After I changed the colors, sharpened it, etc...
I could see it better. It looks like there are 2 letter E's.
I thought if I find the word 'nothing' in there I'm going to get hot! 😅

Re: Summer 2017 Discussion - episodes, theories, characters, etc.

I can't see any change in the ceiling in the other flashes.

So I'm thinking that this was a replaced memory?

Tuxie, it wasn't a flash where he touched her wrist.

I missed this post last week. It's interesting that this book is about a son abandoned by his mother, who endured lots of trauma he didn't know about.

Here's a paragraph from one of the reviews:
"The book's namesake, the Nix itself — in Hill's telling of it — is a Norwegian house spirit. A ghost that finds a person, comes to them in a moment and follows them for life. It is representative of that one instant when life slips sideways and never recovers. A many-faced ghost, equally comfortable being the damaged friend that young Samuel couldn't save, the girl he loved beyond all reason, the mother who left him, the career that escaped him. It is a perfect organizing motif for a book about the small mistakes that become a life's great tragedies, and secrets held too close and for too long."
