New recurring characters announced
EW had this article yesterday on a couple of new characters. One of them, Smokey Putnam, is the title of the first Season 5 episode.

I wonder if they had to get rid of the Julian Gale character to afford new recurring characters. I'm not excited about these two. I'd rather have Gale back.

I had drinks with Aida Turturro once in Montauk with mutual friends. She's kinda.....rough around the edges, sweaty, unshowered, crude. Her table manners were horrendous. I wasn't too impressed. I'm not sure I'll be able to get that out of my head while watching the upcoming episodes. I assume she'll be playing a rough character but I have a bad taste in mouth having met her.

I'll add that if she had been fun to drink with, I'd have overlooked the rough appearance! But she was kind of a cold grump.

JackPow - That's interesting that you've met Aida in person. I never watched The Sopranos, so I don't know what to expect.

Jp, thank You for that bit of insight. Not everyone is as they appear... 
Tuxie, thank you for saying that. So many people I would run in to would talk about this show and I had to tell them even the commercials bored me. Everyone made me feel like I was the only one not looking at it.
I saw 5 minutes one time and that was it. Couldn't hold my interest. Just didn't do it for me. 
When the BL pilot was on and my son saw me still looking at it half way through he said he couldn't believe it. It must be pretty good.
