Re: Episodes 21 and 22 - Press Release and Photos!

HW, I did several screen shots of this and I got all those things in it. I have a busy day ahead but will post them later.
DOJ, department of justice and the date he turned himself in. It told me they knew he was coming as we thought.
the I googled some of those letters and numbers and laughed a bit....

Thanks for writing that out, Honey West. If anyone is interested, AlyBlacklist has re-posted the GlobalTV preview from Nancyjo:

I know, eastcoast, I came up with CL6 as being the symbol and atomic weight of chlorine.

9 p. ??? (Covered by credits)

This is really interesting! Here's what i found on TICR/CL6 and EO 13175 and Fed Reg 67249

TICR / CL6 / 03232013
TICR - Training in Clinical Research - this is interesting because it has to do with epidemiology. It used and referenced to government offices, such as NIH, OSHA, FDA, etc.

CL6 - it comes up as a chemical compound (actually, I think it's the basis for anti-fungal treatments  Rather, I think it's a clearance rank or hope that the show would go for 6 seasons. I have no clue.

EO 13175 - well this is interesting. This comes up as Executive Order 13175
"Executive Order 13175 reaffirms the Federal government's commitment to tribal sovereignty, self-determination, and self-government. Its purpose is to ensure that all Executive departments and agencies consult with Indian tribes and respect tribal sovereignty as they develop policy on issues that impact Indian communities." This was implemented by President Bill Clinton in 2000. It comes up on the EPA website and the Department of Energy

Fed Reg 67249 - Crazy... so this is also in relation to the Executive Order for Tribal sovereignty, etc.

,I wouldn't read too much into this. But ... you never know. Interesting that they all are related to research and the government.

Re: Episodes 21 and 22 - Press Release and Photos!

Good job, Tatiana, I came up with the same for TICR as the on,y acronym that made any sense with regard to the show. None of the others did. The EO and Fed Reg things are interesting. I wonder if they mean anything or the show people thought they would just use them because they knew we would start speculating about their meaning and they wanted to see how dedicated we really are.

Re: Episodes 21 and 22 - Press Release and Photos!

Honey West - great that we got the details of what was on that card.

To me, the various abbreviations relate to citations of some sort.  Like 53-01 would be the first opinion released on something in 1953, for example.  Like with EO 13175 - though what relevance that is to the series is a big question.

I went on the DOJ site, as some of you probably did, but the issue I see is that DOJ consists of dozens of agencies and entities - not least of which is the Attorney General's Office and the FBI itself.  So its a bit of a minefield to search.

I don't know EO immediately stuck out of me as Employment Office but that is probably wrong!

I went back to the pages in Red's file that are in the Elizabeth Keen dossier, and, alas none of the numbers match up.

But I did notice something interesting that I never noticed before.  The fingerprints in the file, ordered in March 1989, by what could be Alan Fitch (initials AF) , with the Blacksburg Virginia address for Reddington:

It has "no" checked for "criminal record" - but it also says that the criminal history is based solely on NYPD records for New York City.  That is really odd, and I never noticed it before.  I need to chew on that for a while!  LOL

Oh yes - another question for me is not what Cooper found - but did he "find" it or already know about it.....

That's interesting Lara. I am not at all familiar with Blacksburg Virginia. Had that ever come up in the show? Do you know if it has any significance related to DC and Baltimore. Interesting.

Re: Episodes 21 and 22 - Press Release and Photos!

Tatiana - I don't think it has come up in the show.  Its an area in Virginia that is not that close to DC as I recall.  It may be rural.  I think that someone else in the group has been to, or knows of, Blacksburg, but I can't recall who.

I just noticed some other interesting details on the fingerprint report.  I'm going to add that to the imposter theory page.

Re: Episodes 21 and 22 - Press Release and Photos!

I noted in the Imposter thread that I had my fingerprints scanned back in February for a government job. They sent the prints to both the FBI and the DOJ. You would think that DOJ would be enough if FBI is part of DOJ? Wouldn't they use the same database? Hmmm.

Re: Episodes 21 and 22 - Press Release and Photos!

Honey West - I saw another photo of that card on another board.  the bottom is:

9p, b&w

so I guess that means 9 pages, black and white.  So maybe the card is referring to a report on Red?  And the DOJ numbers just some reference to Red, almost like a case number?

Re the fingerprints, yes I would think they use the same database but I don't know for sure.

But when I went to search the DOJ database to try to get references to the terms/numbers on the card in the promo, in addition to the search window for the main DOJ site, there was a dropdown to search the individual agency sites.  I guess I just don't know enough about how the government/DOJ would catalog things, if they (the references, e.g. CL6) are even available to the public.  A conundrum!

Re: Episodes 21 and 22 - Press Release and Photos!

Thanks for finding that last line, lara1! Yes, it would appear to be a description of what the report is, or what's in a folder. They all seem to be reference numbers. For what? That's the question. I think we are pretty sure that Red specified Cooper for a reason when he surrendered. Maybe we'll find out why next week.

Re: Episodes 21 and 22 - Press Release and Photos!

I see people saying that once the Red/Liz connection is revealed it's the end of the show. I don't think so. We may learn the what, but I think the greater mystery is the why.

It was on the map in the news report in Luther Braxton when they were saying they had captured him.

I was thinking he picked Cooper because he knew him and he had something on him he could use against him.

It's good that we will find out one way or the other next week.  I think they may have boxed themselves into a bit of a corner with the Kirk storyline.  That is, the storyline put such an emphasis on the father thing that its now like the elephant in the room and IMO will be dragged out too long if they don't address it.  And I suppose it will settle the "Rederina" theory also. My only question is will the DNA test prove it, or will Kaplan tell her, or if Kaplan doesn't tell her that, what will Kaplan tell her?

It was also curious to me in the promo  the way that Cooper just says to Liz, we'll finally find out whether or not he's your father, as if they had been trying to do so for a while now.  But promos are misleading.....

I'm still thinking that he is not her father, I may be in the minority but I think it would retain the intrigue if he were not.  WE would be back in a way to the Red of Season 1 whose motives were unclear and dangerous in a way.  Part of me thinks this week's episode with Red having Liz kidnapped and then the way he tied her to the chair and did not really listen to her, while ultimately agreeing to walk out of the cabin without hurting Kaplan, harkened back to that ambiguity.  For me, it's like I almost didn't know him in that moment when he ignored Liz, wasn't even apologetic or concerned about her or her comfort.  But I will probably be proved to be way off base!  LOL

And of course I will still watch the show no matter the outcome!

Re: Episodes 21 and 22 - Press Release and Photos!

Hi Eastcoast, I think the Luther Braxton location was in Maryland.  Do you mean the part of the news story where they say that Red never returned home to his family that Christmas in 1990 and show the picture of the red car buried in snow and a map?  That was in Maryland I forget the name of the town now, but the map was authentic (real streets and location)

I didn't remember the Virginia address being mentioned as well  - but maybe I missed it?

Re: Episodes 21 and 22 - Press Release and Photos!

HW and L1, I cant see it being over just because they reveal the connection.  No matter what it is there is plenty to expand on.

lara1 you are right that they are boxed in with that whole thing.  More like 10 elephants in the room! lol
That was an odd blank sort of look she gave Cooper when he said that.  I wonder if she already knows the answer?

Re: Episodes 21 and 22 - Press Release and Photos!

HI eascoast, I was trying to find a post I did on the location earlier this year but can't find it now.  Just want to make sure I am not mi-remembering.  And I ran across an article that talked about how there was a dairy farm near by which had been owned  by the Navy until fairly recent times.  Back in the late 1980s I think, the original manor house burned to the ground!

Then again maybe I dreamed that LOL!
