It's interesting how many people don't watch shows live and even more interesting is how many viewers The Blacklist picks up in the week after an episode airs.

hi HoneyWest. Agree. Not that I have a say in such matters (!) but I think they should change the ratings system to combine live and +3 into one number. At least where I live, the on demand airings contain the same sponsor advertisements for that three day period. So many people I know hardly watch TV live any more. I think it might be in part the rise of streaming services, where people are now used to watching what they want when they want. That's just my two cents, LOL!

lara1, I think that is correct. I know couples who work different shifts and like to watch stuff together. so they pick a time to catch up on everything together....how sweet
I would have to say sorry, I will be happy to re-watch it with you. lol

here is a link to an article with some encouraging news on the ratings. meanwhile there are some interesting spoiler pics on Aly Blacklist re episode 15 which I think is shaping up to be intense!

Let's hope those L plus 7 numbers get the show renewed!

The Blacklist won its time slot last night! Yay! And it apparently delivers a strong rating in upscale market viewers.
Here is a ratings article.

Here's another positive: tvgrimreaper has increased the Blacklist's chance of renewal to 85%. He'd had it at 60% for some time, but since the hiatus is over, he increased it to 75% and then today to 85%.
I know, these folks can't foretell the future. He claims to have a 90% or better prediction rate. He doesn't base his predictions on how much fans like a particular show, but rather on ratings, and ratings relative to other networks and other shows for that particular network.
We shall see....
Here's a link if anyone is interested:

Interesting, it looks like a couple of the upfronts have been postponed (i.e. rescheduled). the one for NBC Universal had been scheduled for May 15, it now looks like its been pushed to May 18 (a couple of others have been rescheduled to a later date, from what I remember).
I'm thinking that hopefully we will hear by next Friday, failing that, the following Monday (15).
The latest info on Aly says that the series is in renewal negotiations. I don't know what that means - creator/network; network/studio, both or other. Not sure if anyone else would have any insight on that.
Still it's a positive sign, I think.

I still think they've shot alternative endings, just in case.

Agreed!
I'm encouraged about renewal negotiations, but it's still stressful!

UPdated, final predictions for show renewals/cancellations. The Blacklist is favored for renewal. Redemption is not. Here's two links if you have other shows you'd like to check on. Also, we should know by next Monday what NBC has decided. (Let's hope they announce sooner rather than later).

Thanks, Tatiana! I am optimistic.
