Non-morning person stuff aside, one of the things that I greatly respect about James is that he thinks before speaking.  He always gives pause for thought before answering so as to answer the question, but from his perspective, yet without giving too much away and yet not saying anything that gives rise to confusion among viewers.  IMO, that is.
 

Good job, everyone! I was trying to look at things on my phone which is down to 2G network speed thanks to a teenager on our shared plan who uses up all the high speed data by the middle of the billing cycle every month. Photos barely load!

I agree, lara1 #61. I think that is why JS does these promo visits to the talk shows. They know he will be very very careful to not give anything away accidentally.

Just wanted to add that I now realize just what Mr. Kaplan is to Red. She is his sin-eater. I wonder just how long she has been doing it? And just what heinous acts she has had to absorb for him? Worse than being a cold-blooded killer? I have a feeling we're going to be busy on THRUSHES.

Great thought Honey West!  And Kate literally knows where the bodies are buried....

I also thought Red was saying that while inner demons haunt other people, Kate is the one who haunts him - kind of ties in with the ghost references we've had ever since Mato, and what Red said to Baldur in that restaurant scene.  

I don't know, I think its more complicated than that too - maybe we will find out tomorrow!    What I mean is, like  a twist to their connection, something that has bound her to him loyally all these years and for him to trust her (more than anyone else on the planet as he said).

I also thought Liz's face in that clip was priceless.  Megan and James have excellent on screen chemistry, IMO.  I think that's why I miss the Liz/Red scenes even more, apart from how its critical to the story and makes it compelling (for me, at any rate).

Oh yes, I'm sure she is much more than just his sin-eater. But as I watched the Today clip that just jumped out at me. Don't know why I never saw it before. Maybe it was Red's sort of haunted look as he said it, like he was telling a ghost story. The way I see it is that he basically can't function without her. He needs her to be there, not just absorbing his sins, but for him to clear his soul, so to speak. She takes it all in. Does she judge him? Probably not, but it has to be just as difficult for her. So as the cleaner she not only literally cleans up his crime scenes, she helps to cleanse his guilty concscience or even, his soul. Or something like that. "He knows what he has to do." So if he knew he had to kill her, then what was the reason that had to be done? Killing her takes away his sin eater. Does that mean he has to stop sinning? Obviously it has not. But without her, what has happened to him? His world has begun to crumble and he is haunted by the idea of dying, where he didn't really care one way or the other before. Has he become "mortal"? As in his sins are now free to eat away at him and destroy him? As he says they do to most men, but not him, because he had Kate? Is Liz poised to become Red's new sin eater as he is supposed to be her's?

Anyone know who wrote 4.16 and 4.17? I think I've seen director credits, but did they say the writer(s)?

I read that article, Lara. It left me saying, "What?!"
So is it possible our little Aram is behind some of these shenanigans? Remember we speculated about this? That certainly would be a big secret! So we shall see.
Honestly, I don't know what to expect. 

I re-read the article and interesting comments re Tom.  Maybe they are rethinking his role given all of the fan feedback.  I guess we will see.

I'm afraid!!!! I thought once we found out the origin story then the series would end... They are giving us everything in a huge dose!  Very excited but nervous as well.

And that scene with Liz and Katarina - it looks like liz is in the same nightgown as the scene with kaplan, i.e. post-fire, the sleeve looks sooty.  Ooohhh.
