Re: Redemption: Episode 1.08: Whitehall Conclusion Discussion

Eastcoast - he was reciting lines from, I believe, the ending of Moby Dick.

He basically disappeared through a (convenient) hole in the wall as the FBI circled in to arrest Scottie.  (He does that a lot!).  He also did not harm Nez - just disarmed her, recited Moby Dick, and left.

Re: Redemption: Episode 1.08: Whitehall Conclusion Discussion

Colleen - good catch, a "princess" party - with tiaras!

I wonder if Red will show - seems like he has a lot on his plate, LOL

I think TBL is supposed to pick up in real time, i.e., that would be Agnes' birthday next week, as Tom said.

If I remember correctly what I read a few weeks ago....

Lol great comments about Tom's parents. Imagine everyone at Agnes birthday party next week. All wearing tiaras for the PRINCESS party.

Wonder if Red will wear his tiara atop a fedora... as he looks at Tom and says "I told you so!"

LOL Colleen! Yes, I can just imagine Howard, Red and Tom wearing tiaras!

Re: Redemption: Episode 1.08: Whitehall Conclusion Discussion

Well, I still don't trust Scottie or Howard. I don't think there IS a good guy in this. Solomon, Nez, and Tom have all been lead astray.

Thank you lara1,
I yelled no, not now out loud when it went out! I can laugh now but it was not funny then....

Re: Redemption: Episode 1.08: Whitehall Conclusion Discussion

"What could possibly go wrong?" Well, how about a stabbed and bloody woman staggering into your room, handing you a flash drive and saying "It's the Truth." Made me think of Dembe's line "What if something goes wrong?" I hope Tom at least gets to show up at Agnes' birthday party!Oh wait...

Oh, and did you catch what Scottie said? “Because someone has to live in the shadows so others can live in the light." I think that describes Red to a "T". It still doesn't say exactly what he is and has been doing all these years, but I believe it's a good clue.

Re: Redemption: Episode 1.08: Whitehall Conclusion Discussion

Wonder if everyone shows up at Agnes's 1st birthday party?

What will the cake look like - a whale or a clock?

Will Samar & Annie Heise be able to resist tearing each other apart?

What disguise will Jellybean Glen wear?

Will Ressler be first to leave?

Does Gramma Scotty get a day pass from Leavenworth?

Does The Kat have nine lives?

Will Mountain Man lead the Happy Birthday song?

Can Kate avoid being shot at by Red?

Will Nez find Solomon?

Re: Redemption: Episode 1.08: Whitehall Conclusion Discussion

Thinking back Whitehall was so calm through this whole being locked away and then kidnapped and held inside Halycon and then being escorted around by an armed Solomon and Scotty. Even when Scotty says she could just shoot him his response is so "oh no you won't...now  just hop in the elevator with me".

Re: Redemption: Episode 1.08: Whitehall Conclusion Discussion

Friends: just wanted to let you know there are two additions to the Spoiler page. Big reveals too. We finally have a very brief interview of Bokenkamp re: Requiem and Kaplan. And an interesting spoiler with Dembe.

Just be warned that you there are some interesting reveals! We've been waiting for this for a while.

BBB - LOL!

Honey West - Yes!  that line about living in the shadows.  And I was reminded of what she said to Red back in Season 3 - we all do what we need to do in order to survive - you of all people should know that.

Re: Redemption: Episode 1.08: Whitehall Conclusion Discussion

Well I think Season 1, though it definitely had its misfires and bumps, overall was very good.  I'm currently doing a quick re-wtch to pick up any BL crumbs I may have missed while focused on the plot mystery.

I think the writers did a good job in creating a self contained story within the 8 episodes, with a variety of ways it could go at the end.  At the ending it did remind me of a James-Bond like villain in Howard.  I could almost see him rubbing his hands together, heh heh heh.

As an aside, did anyone notice that the comic in the foreground in the comic book store in Ep 7 said "The Fourth "Dementia"" (instead of dimension) something like that......

Jodi Walker said that Howard should have had a nearby shark tank just in case he needed it.

Re: Redemption: Episode 1.08: Whitehall Conclusion Discussion

I had a thought a few weeks back and don't want to forget it again.

Does anyone else think that Howard looked like the guy in the Artax Network?  Remember it only showed his eyes and forehead.

I watched Artax Network and while the voice sounded familiar, it wasn't him. But I could be mistaken!!!

Re: Redemption: Episode 1.08: Whitehall Conclusion Discussion

Great finale! I was wrong about Howard, too. I so wanted him to be a good guy, but maybe he's the enemy that TBL needs.

I'm happy. I got a 2 second glimpse of Mr. Kaplan in that preview.

Re: Redemption: Episode 1.08: Whitehall Conclusion Discussion

Wouldn't it be something if Howard was actually working for the Cabal?
And this was part of that 2017 plan thing?
