Great link, Lara!!! I had checked tumblr earlier today and it wasn't on there yet! Wow! I'm so excited. And Tuxie will be excited to know there are a lot of plaid curtains

LOL! Love the bullfighter on black velvet painting. Given the mix of obvious "guy stuff" and the hula hoop , doll, dollhouse, etc. I think that might be Sam's house. So the link might be between Sam and Kate.
I had looked there earlier today, too, those weren't there yet.

Tatiana - yes the doll house, very similar to the style of the doll house in the summer palace, with the bay windows and turret like structure. And sort of the opposite color - reddish with blue-ish roof . mirror images again
Honey West - I didn't know what to make of the hula hoop, it seemed like something for an older child. And I noticed the cars on the walls and the sparse furniture so thought it could be Sam's house. Then again, we don't know what house Masha's father took her to - and whoever he was, where was he living and was he married etc. and I think the house looks remote enough to be fire house. But I think yes, my hunch leans more towards this being Sam's house.
So I wonder therefore if the connection between Liz, Red and Kaplan that Megan spoke of is therefore Sam?
And yeah there is a lot of plaid!
I couldn't tell if that was a toy bunny on the sofa. Could be almost anything but it looks white and furry!
Also - with the snow on the ground, the timing would be right for it to be either fire house or Sam's house....and it seems reasonably far away from other houses, which is what we thought.

oh, the other interesting thing is the dog. In the fire house memories, wasn't there a picture of a dog with a bandana for a collar? I can't remember whether that dog was black or the color of the dog in the photo in the cabin where Red brought Naomi. But I do think that in Liz's fire memory, in one of the bright flashes of light I saw a corridor with maybe a dark colored dog. Something that looked like that anyway.
Looking at the house more closely, I don't see the sort of bay window like the one where Liz's "father" was shot. unless at the back or something. so another thing to place it more as Sam's house than fire house.

This is also the episode that I think Megan was excited about - and raved about both the episode and the writing. And that we will know how Kaplan is linked to both Liz and to Red. YAY

So I keep wondering whether Katarina shows up in the past or present or, possibly, both.
I saw a movie with Kate Winslet on TV yesterday (Labor Day) and in one scene she is aged 25 years, presumably with makeup and/or special effects.
I think its very doable. Very exciting to find out.
