My intel has Famke on Live w/ Kelly today. Its a bit unusual because Famke the movie-star seldom does live media or talk shows. But I suspect a condition of her employment with Blacklist Redemption is doing exactly such work.
I suspect Kelly will know all this = also that drama stars seldom reveal much about their shows so it will be a fairly short segment. Much like Megan Boone. Although I'm sure Kelly will try to bring up the Xenia Onatopp character from James Bond lore - where Famke's method of execution was crushing men between her thighs!

And tomorrow Ryan Eggold is scheduled for both segments of Today.

Thought Famke did a marvellous job today. Segment was slightly longer than the usual stuff reserved for non-regular guests. Famke is fluent in four languages (Dutch, English, German, Spanish) and her intelligence is extremely high (its obvious if you see the interview). The segment went swimmingly well - mostly cuz Kelly's co-host Mark Consuelos (Kelly's husband) did a great job working with Famke and making her feel at home. Kelly seemed to be a bit wary and almost threatened by Famke (who's nearly twice the size of the dimunitive & glib show host)

for those on the west coast, Famke and Ryan just appeared briefly (not together) on The Insider, which airs on NBC at 7PM eastern time. short piece on Redemption

We all know Famke was a fairly famous movie star in Europe and then in America. Does anyone know if Redemption is her first foray as a lead on a major television drama?

BBB - i heard/saw on that The Insider bit tonight that she had been on How to Get Away With Murder. A key role, I don't know if it was considered a lead. I did not watch it (the show).

Yes, Lara - I think you're right. Seem to recall a couple seasons ago she had a small arc as Analise Keating's lawyer/lover - no more than 4 or 5 episodes as I recall.
Famke said her height (5'11" 1/2") actually works against her as many people in television are shorties (4'11" to 5'4") and her on-screen presents problems for directors and those blocking scenes. Heck even some of the men in TV are short - look at one of the leads on The Big Bang Theory - he's barely 5'5". Michael Emerson & Kevin Chapman on Person of Interest were 5'9" and 5'6" respectively. Lots of other examples just can't recall this early in morning.

James Spader is only around 5'9" or at most 5'10" and his Leslie is somewhere around 5'11". When you mentioned blocking it reminded me of the one kissing scene in The Stickup. James is at least 4inches taller than Leslie in that scene, and every time I watch it I wonder what he was standing on to shoot that scene...LOL!

You're speaking of Leslie Stefanson who starred in The General's Daughter before she married Spader?
