Thanks HW,
I couldn't agree more!! 😄
This should be great!
And welcome to Harry and anyone else I missed!!

And it looks like they are setting Tom up a little more each episode for the spinoff...

I love it when Aram goes undercover. This will be great! And I can't wait to find out what the impetus is for Tom wanting to learn more about his childhood.

Yes, and we still have Red struggling to figure out who is infiltrating his business.
I'm a bit confused by the programming though, as this looks like the last episode before the spring hiatus? As redemption follows in that time slot the following week (2/23). I previously thought that episode 15 would be the last before the hiatus and hisham's post about a crazy storyline made sense as a maybe cliff hanger before the hiatus. Unless they are doing a BL/Redemption double bill on 2/23 with TBL at 9, as Tom is also meant to step right of TBL into the first episode of Redemption, but I don't think so.
I'd also previously heard that the last episode before the spring hiatus would be a 2 hour event but that doesn't seem to be the case either, maybe its a double episode when the series comes back in April. I think there's been a bit of confusion generally around the scheduling with different posts saying different things...... I guess we will see!

Also saw on AlyBlacklist site that Brent Spiner will be playing The Architect. That should be good!

Sounds good, Honey West. Aly is a treasure trove of info! So glad that we fans have her!
I think I have now figured out the schedule. Apparently, there will be an episode shown on 2/23, the same night that Redemption pilots. the 2/23 episode should be 15, which is the one we have been hearing is going to be very intense....so that must air at 9PM, followed immediately by Redemption at 10 the same night.
The show runners have previously stated that Tom is going direct from TBL into the first ep of Redemption with no break. So, I am wondering whether he has a role in whatever "storm" lashes out in ep 15....whether its a Kaplan/Red showdown or something completely different...
I think that they are building up to something major for the winter finale.

promotional photos released.
thanks Aly Blacklist for pointing out.

Thanks for the promo pictures!
Interesting that Red is having his portrait done. Often people do that after donating a huge amount of money to a charitable cause - like paying for a hospital wing or a university building. Then the painting hangs in the entrance as if to say, "Look at what an impressive person I am. I paid for this." It fits with Red trying to protect his reputation from Isabella Stone.
Also harkens back to The Freelancer when Campo bragged that she is a criminal wined and dined and beloved by everyone but Red has to live in the shadows. I bet her portrait hung in quite a few places before Red and the FBI exposed her crimes. Illusion/deception vs. reality/truth.
The other thing about people having their portraits painted is that it usually happens when they retire or, uh, die. Where I work, when a judge retires, he has his portrait painted and it hangs in his former courtroom. The judge can still work, but he becomes "senior status" and is supposed to work only half-time. All this is to say that maybe Red is looking to go senior status - that he either wants to get out of his criminal business or his spy/deep cover work.
Then again, Red wouldn't try so hard to find out who was starting a war with him if he wanted to retire from his criminal business.

According to the Spoiler photos, the name of the artist is Caio. I thought this might be a clue of sorts, but I came up empty. the original meaning of the name is apparently unclear, but may have been related to "joy" or "rejoice". I didn't see anything of importance (TBL-wise) in the life of Saint Caio either, except of course, he is a saint, like other references in the series.
However, Caio is evidently derived from Gaius, which was one of the names of Julius Ceasar (as well as other Roman emperors). Haven't got farther than that, maybe I just haven't hit upon any relevant info yet....It may just be an unusual name they decided to use!

It could be the name of one of the production staff's high school teachers. Or another staff member. They do things like that a lot with names, I've noticed. Like the Campolongo incident or there is someone with the last name Tanida in the credits. These are production people on the show and I think JB even said he used names of people from his hometown. So, I don't really read a lot into the names because of that, since they are most likely inside jokes.
But you never know! (whistling)

Maybe Red wants a nice portrait to be passed along to Agnes someday. I think when he dies the truth will come out and maybe show he was really some sort of hero after all. Or it could just be his ego. I have thought for some time that he is tired of his life on the run and he'd love to retire. But I think he is also very aware that probably the only retirement available to him is horizontal and six feet under. And I also think that the birth of Agnes has got him reconsidering his used to being okay with being killed at any moment way of thinking.
Red lives in the shadows and he has been very careful to not have much photographic evidence of his face available to the public. This changed when he turned himself in and then when he and Liz were on the run after the Connolly murder. So why sit for a portrait, a painted one, at that? Hopefully, he will explain it to us, and what he has planned for it, aside from locking it in the trunk of that presidential limousine in the underground storage bunker.

I had to put this link here since it's from tonight's episode. Aram getting news of his assignment to the hacker convention. Cute.

Thanks for that Honey West, I love reading the last minute spoilers! I've not had much time the past couple of days to keep up to date with what's being posted around about tonight's episode, so appreciate you adding that here.
Another episode tonight! YAY!!!
