Redemption
Hi everyone - tentative Redemption air dates
This is on the IMDB website, it looks like Redemption may air in the US on Feb 5 which is a Sunday, followed by the second episode on the following Thursday Feb 9.
I believe that by then Blacklist will be into its sixth episode after the winter break re-start Jan 5.
I know that IMDB is not the most reliable source, but given the posting, maybe we will hear something more "official" soon.

Looks like we've finally got some dates confirmed. I saw something somewhere else, too. Can't remember where.

They have posted a new promo for the pilot. It isn't very long, but it is at least something different.

Another article on Redemption with more quotes from the showrunners.
It looks like TBL episode 4.15 (the feb segment 2 hour finale) will lead right into the Redemption Pilot insofar as the character of Tom is concerned. Also, it doesn't sound like Red will be making an appearance in any of these 8 episodes of Redemption.

OK great, so I have seen the same promo on another site.
As promos go, I think its very good. Probably gets potential viewers intrigued enough to give it a go.
It doesn't surprise me that they have used clips of Red and dialog from Blacklist even though, as I understand it, Red will not make an appearance (I guess this could change). So its like the next step of tom's journey.
It does make me think whether there will end up being a twist in the tale as Tom goes back to his "spying" ways, although these may now all be for "good" causes.....hence, his redemption? In this, is his story therefore a bit like Red's?, kind of in reverse? Many of us think that Red was good and was turned "bad" but does bad things for the "good". Here, Tom was "bad" and has turned "good" and will do "bad" things for the good? Anyway I digress.
Eastcoast, did you like the promo? what did you think?

lara1, it was great! This is what I picked up on.
It looked like a dark world turning in the background and reminded me of the map.
My biggest wonder is did his father set him up to be kidnapped? He told him 'all your training and all your skills have been preparing you for this moment'. ????

It also makes me think of the extra skills Liz has. Things that Sam taught her and Red telling her that thinking like a criminal may be easier than she thinks.

interesting, Eastcoast. I will have another look at it.
I think that some people have the idea that Tom's kidnapping was done on purpose, to save him (much like Liz had to be saved as a child) but something went awry - perhaps the person who was supposed to take care of him reneged on the deal or something went wrong in some other way. intriguing!

Hi Eastcoast, I watched the promo again. Yes, that is Howard saying that to Tom in the clip. So, assuming Howard is Tom's father (Red only said that Scottie is his mother - i you believe Red, ha) - Tom must think/know that he is. But does Howard know who tom is? He is a friend of Red, after all, and appears to be estranged from Scottie. (and I guess whatever illness Howard has, he has recovered, or recovered sufficiently to be out and about now...)
Interesting scene. Of course he (Howard) may just be talking about Tom's former life as a spy , or does he know about the Regis program. I have to admit, I am intrigued.....LOL
