Episode 10.3 - The Four Guns

"An assassination attempt on Sen.  Panabaker leads the Task Force to a group of renowned pickpockets; Red sends a dangerous gift to an old friend in custody."

Sorry I am so late starting the thread, but it hasn’t aired here yet!  A little discombobulated with the time change.

Re: Episode 10.3 - The Four Guns

Did the cheese slide off your cracker? LOL! Six-Gun Cynthia strikes again. And our favorite torturer. I'm glad they are bringing some of these characters back in the final season. It will feel a little more wrapped up that way. And I like that Red didn't kill anyone and ended up using the pickpockets to break Robert out of prison. And that he doesn't seem to mind that Robert doesn't ever fully trust him. But then, that's how you live a long life in that business. Plus the explanation of how Cooper has avoided retirement, by running a non-existent task force.

Haha! Lots of good humor and next week should be a fun ride!

I'm not dealing with the time change well, either. I fell asleep in my recliner just as the show was ending.

As much as I liked last night's show, I do miss the spy stuff! I wonder if any of that will be resolved?

Re: Episode 10.3 - The Four Guns

I'm totally getting into this season after my expectations weren't too high. In the past seasons I've loved the episodes that were less lore and more blacklister-focussed and this one definitely delivers.

It's clear that the action budget is still lower than it was in past seasons, but we're getting some of the best dialogue in return. The Four Guns were a fun blacklister, Vesco's return is entertaining (unlike the last time we saw him), and Red is brilliant as always. On top of that we get some fun characters returning (Herbie and Brimley) and a nice reference to President Diaz.

It looks like this season will have quite some highlights, which a once great show like this deserves before it finally ends.

I agree, TheYeti. They don't need to stretch things out any longer and they can have some fun with the old blacklisters along the way. Plus add some fun new ones like The Four Guns.

That reminds me, I recorded Seth Meyers last night because James Spader was supposed to be on. I'll have to turn on the TV and see if I got any good stories. :-)

Re: Episode 10.3 - The Four Guns

LOL! He did have a story, of course. This Sunday is their 200th episode and so they all got gifts from the network and he was all excited because if it's nice it means they like you, etc. So it came in a Hermes box and when he opened it it was a square of leather, like you might get as a sample if you were going to reupholster the couch or something. He asked someone else about it, and she explained it was a mouse pad. He was still befuddled because he doesn't even  have a computer. He said he thought it might be someplace where your domesticated pet mouse could go to the bathroom. Seth told him how much he likes it when JS comes on the show and is always amazed that he only ever tells just one story. Which is just fine, of course!

Re: Episode 10.3 - The Four Guns

Ha! A mouse pad . . . thanks for sharing that.
One more hour to go . . . I've got to get better organized. "Call the Midwife" has started on PBS,
for six weeks, I think. I almost forgot it was on. Now I have 1 hour to finish getting ready for
tomorrow before the Blacklist is on.

No DVR here, or I'd watch both shows later in the week . . .

Re: Episode 10.3 - The Four Guns

:-) I love to watch Call the Midwife. Fortunately it is on at 9 and TBL is on at 10.

Guess I'd better start the thread!

Re: Episode 10.3 - The Four Guns

Yes, I was worried about the two shows overlapping. I don't watch a lot of TV, but I make time for "Call the Midwife" and "All Creatures Great and Small," another PBS offering. I know! So different from The Blacklist.
