I decided to start the thread early since I will be at work, of all things, when most of you see the show at what will be 5 PM my time. :-)
I guess we'll see what the story reset looks like and I, for one, will be checking out the opening credits to see who is still onboard.
Happy watching! It will be nice to see posts from real people again, as I have spent the hiatus rejecting and deleting bot requests for membership pretty much every day this summer!

Thank you for starting the thread! It will be interesting to see where they are going with things at this point.
Have fun at work!
Iowawatcher, what do you have to snack on tonight?
I have ice cream, cupcakes and candy!

Thanks for starting the thread, HW!
Hi, Eastcoast! Sounds yummy! I had one slice of apple pie.
Re tonight's episode -- the story was tight. I wasn't confused at any point, which is saying a lot because I'm tired, so that was good. However, there were several elements that bothered me: I didn't care for the "sisters" tending to Reddington. They were unlikeable. They could've been comedy relief but they were just weird. Agent Park also annoyed me. I'm trying to like her, but she doesn't have any chemistry with the others.
Overall, it just didn't feel quite like a "Blacklist" episode, other than the funny bits with Aram. I'm still wrapping my mind around Dembe becoming an FBI agent, but it works.
They lack a strong female lead, and it shows! But I'll continue to watch it.

At least we know where Agnes went.
I didn’t expect a real Blacklist feeling story because they had to get them all back together first. But it was penned by Eisendrath and Reiter so that really helped. None of the characters felt out of character. The baddies felt like the usual baddies. Red didn’t want to get pulled back into the Blacklist stuff but he seemed to be still running his criminal enterprises, at least that’s more or less what he said.
Dembe as an FBI agent. That was interesting. I guess we may eventually find out how that happened. Was it to honor Elizabeth? To be able to stay informed as to FBI doings? And what about Ressler's remark about background checks? Maybe Panabaker pulled some strings?
Ressler basically telling Red to get off his butt and get back to work on the Blacklist since that was all about Liz and her life. Even though he blames Red for everything.
Park married? And already having to fib to her husband about work. Reminded me of Liz's phone calls to Tom about having to work late.
But Aram remains the constant. Loved every one of his scenes.
I expect them to gel more as they get going in their new reality of working together again. The team's got their chemistry so I’m sure it will happen.
I actually liked Red's two "weird sisters". I think it was Cooper's interaction with them. And the one said she liked Ressler.

Indeed - story was super-tight, mainly cuz they abandoned all past Blacklist circuitry - in favor of a rather clean re-set w/ Dembe suddenly cast as a new FBI member.
I'm prolly the most negative Agent Park fan but it seems to got a slight physical makeover while TBL was in hiatus. She was directed to be a little lighter and friendlier and she came across 100x better this way.
Agree about Red's "Sister Act" - would have been better with guest casting "Whoopi Goldberg & Meghan McCain" lol
Aram has had a few comedy relief episodes but this might have been his best! No kiddin' . . . ! ! !

Ressler's wig made him resemble his own senior high school yearbook photo instead of being two years older.
RR looked a shade closer to Marlon Brando in Apocalypse Now.
Agent Parks' tweak: compelling! Two huge smiles. Not tightly wound. No bug-eyed paranoia. The onset of hotness?
Dembe: Field Agent? Confidential Informant? Undercover? A bridge to RR? A four-fer. Plus++.
Cooper: Anchor.
Many backstories must be in TBL pipeline.
