Here is the thread for tonight!

Thanks for starting the thread, HW!
Wow! Another decent show with some laugh out loud moments! Honestly, I was chucking when the knot machine fell through the floor! That was great! And there were some nice twists, too. I loved all of the women in the red jackets. Nice touch!
It seemed like there were a couple of holes, but I'm really tired, so I'll rewatch it.
Spader is on Fallon tonight! If I'm awake, I'll watch it.

I love the heist episodes! Just before the cipher machine dropped through the floor I figured that’s what would happen. Then I loved the reactions when Liz looked up at them and took off with it.
Red trying to provide for Anne’s daughter was a nice scene, but I thought her reaction to the possibility that the money could be coming from a wanted criminal was a little much. I know it was to let us know how Red felt, but after all he was the one responsible for Anne's death just by being in her life. Like we all knew it would happen.

Red bringing Glenn's mom onto his team was a Blacklist Classic . . . ! ! !
Love how she calls him "Jelly"

The parts with Glenn's mom were my favorites of the episode. Paula is a hoot!
I thought Liz was pretty stupid not to equate those numbers with letters in the beginning. That was pretty obvious. I thought of it right away. And then not to get anything of import decoded during the episode was a letdown. I imagine Liz will get something enlightening with the Cyrillic alphabet in future episodes.
The plastic bag on Liz's head was a callback to the episode where Tom died and Garvey's men planned to smother Liz. I can't believe she continues to work with Townsend, knowing he would kill her in a heartbeat. Even with the backstory of having his family murdered, I don't have one drop of sympathy for the character. He is 100 percent morally evil.

Just chiming in. I'm glad Elizabeth is back if for nothing else, Liz and Red are THE story.
Tuxie, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but let's just say, anyone who has ever done ANY kind of decoding knows numeric - alpha pairing. Omg, I was immensely disappointed. Why not make it even a little teeny bit harder?
Glenn's mom is a wonderful addition to show! I miss those bright, vibrant, kooky characters installed for some comedic relief.
I heard a rumor the show's been renewed for a 9th season. Now that I've dropped the idea of this being a complex puzzle that we need to decode, I've resigned to a case of the week series and still find it enjoyable. Just not quite so exciting
It's interesting to see Red's character evolve to an older, kinder, more tender-hearted romancer. Not sure the Redarina/Red is actually Katarina theory still applies with the way our political climate has changed in the real world, but did anyone else notice that when they depicted Red and Ann getting passionate, Ann pushed him up against the wall in a kind of womanizer fashion. I found it interesting as Red was originally portrayed as the sexual aggressor.
Looks like they're flipping the characters - Red is becoming more like Liz and Liz is becoming more like Red, regardless of Red's original identity.

Honestly, I was going to throw something at the TV if Liz got one over on Park, especially as the latter more than holds her own against woman or man. I have enough trouble swallowing tough, intelllgent Liz.

Tatiana - I do agree that it's good to have Liz back, even if the writers are making her look crazy and ridiculous. The show most definitely is both Red And Liz. I'm still a follower of the Redarina theory. The Ann romance did nothing to squelch my belief because I've always thought Katarina was either a lesbian or bisexual.

Agreed, Liz has never shown much in the area of physical combat whereby the diminutive but lethal Agent Park has proven dominant against most women foes and holding her own with male combatants. Samar Mavabi was teased as a tough as nails physical combatant but producers only showed rare glimpses of Samar in physical combat. Liz was definitely brought into the task force for her brains, not her brawn - getting hand-picked by Reddington didn't hurt either!

Perhaps a bisexual lesbian . . . ? ? ?
