Here we go! #40.

Do you think Red scouted Anne out at the theatre because he somehow knew she was luring him into a Honeytrap? If so, why was she so sad? Why did she lie about her locale? How did Red know there was a game afoot?

I don't think it was a game. I think she may have been legit. Maybe . . .
Hard to say with this show. The "Cape May" reference was odd.
I do know I'll have to re-watch. I got interrupted twice and missed things. That's not good with this show!
I saw in the pre-views that Liz should be back next week. Yea!
Eastcoast, did you have cake? I made it to the store, and they had pie by the slice, so I had a nice piece of apple pie that I warmed in the microwave, and I have a piece of cherry pie for tomorrow.

Actually, I am rather Keen on this feeling of Lizlessness! More time for Dembe!

I miss Liz. The only Lizless episode I've really enjoyed was the Glen tribute. At first I really suspected Ann of being a spy, especially with the Cape May warbler. But now I don't know.

Busy couple of days around here! I had a nice chocolate bar for my show watch on Friday!
I like Cooper episodes. He's a good character and he always stays true to what he believes in, no matter what he has to do to get there. His word is his bond. The interesting line was where Red told him that HE had changed because of Cooper, not just vice versa. I think they are setting up for the eventual confrontation when Red might be asked to eliminate Cooper by Sikorsky and his cohorts. It was nice to see Charlene again. I'm glad they don't just abandon characters when we don't see them for a long time. I kept thinking, well, if Cooper accepts the nomination then he would increase his value to Red and possibly Sikorsky, so it might help to keep him safer in the long run.
I'm thinking that since next week's story is about doppelgängers that even though the previews seem to show Liz, that it is not her, and is perhaps a double for her.
I liked that Red had a few minutes of "normal" life with Anne the bird lady, and I am thinking that Cape May Warbler was a red herring. Leave it to Dembe to bring Red crashing back to earth and reality. No, he made his choice years ago, and a "normal" life is impossible now. He gets to do a lot of things, but at heart, he lives a rather isolated and lonely life.

I really felt like she should have been a part of the Glen Episode. That didn't seam right to me.

I did have cake. And cookies! I've been in the mood for fruit pie this week. I did get that huge coconut cream pie today!
BBB,
It is hard to say if Anne was legit. It seamed she was, but this is TBL.
I think she said she went home because she didn't want him to think he left her there. I couldn't tell if she saw him or not?
It is hard to ignore the Cape May reference, but maybe the writers are reminding us that Red can't have a 'normal' life.

Time will tell. Maybe it's a placeholder for the next season, to be used if needed.

Here's a little pre-game treat of Ann (aka LaChanze) prepping & singing the national anthem at a Dnnver Broncos game a few years back. She's just outstanding. I popped when I first heard TBL was bringing her on - first saw her on Person of Interest back in about 2015-16. She was great then, too!
Suspect Spader saw her on Broadway with Idina Menzel and insisted TBL producers find her a spot on Blacklist . . .
Here's LaChanze in Denver with the National Anthem . . . .
