Brown Betty, another derivation of the name Elizabeth.

KathyN, I. Glad you mentioned the video. I have been wondering that since they showed it.
Deep fake. Are they giving us a hint? Lol
Eastcoast - Yes, I thought the deep fake plotline was a hint about Fakerina.

KathyN - I had all those same questions. There were too many plot devices that didn't make sense.
BBB - For me, Franky was the one bright spot in the episodes so far. Watching without her won't be as fun.

Hope s-runners give us the mild satisfaction of Liz gunning down the Fakerina & her accented cohort before the show concludes.

Further thoughts about getting rid of Franky.
After thinking about this some more, I did not think the lines she had went totally with her character.
She didn't really want to turn on Red. She hesitated and said it was not part of the deal. I think if they had left that out it would have flowed better for me. Because then she says, 'the only color she is loyal to is green'. It just didn't mesh for me.
I think that Red had to have her completely on his side or dead. He didn't want someone out there who was connected to KR in any way.
Off to RL...

Actually the better way would be for Agnes to accidentally do away with her supposed grand-mother - perhaps in a fire scene at their apartment where KR mysteriously vanishes or is burned to an unrecognizable state. Agnes then carries on the mantle of her mother, Elizabeth Keen.

Agree, the only reason to have a deep-fake story line was to lay the groundwork for viewers who were unaware of the concept so they could understand the deep fake Katarina video storyline. That, and it made for a good blacklist procedural (vs heavy on mythology) type episode. Deep fake video seems to be a theme this week, Madam Secretary on Sunday was about a deep fake video as well.
One more ridiculous plot point. Why hadn't "Katarina" killed Frankie up to this point? She was just walking around on the street, out in the open, living at her same apartment, easy to find. The more realistic scenario would have been that Katarina found her and killed her for the betrayal. But the deep fake made for a good plot so they sacrificed what was a more realistic outcome for the plot.

KathyN - I agree that it would have made more sense for "Katarina" to kill Franky earlier after her betrayal.

Only reason Fake KR didn't take out Franky was Franky her main route back into Red's world. A direct connection since Franky was so useful to Red both during his escape and using her skills to accomplish a hard task for Team Reddington.

btw - I believe Red would have killed Agent Park if Park had been defeated in battle by Franky.
He liked Park because of her obvious (but well hidden) savagery. Franky was a far more refined and subtle operative who didn't possess the immense fighting skills of Park.
