Les Fleurs du Mal
Aram goes undercover to infiltrate a secret society of wealthy thrill-seekers, whose entertainment hinges upon spectacular acts of violence. Meanwhile, Red tries to negotiate with a former associate involved in the Townsend Directive, while Katarina Rostova ( guest star Laila Robins) takes steps to insinuate herself into Liz's life.

I don’t know if the title refers to Baudelaire or not, but:
"Les Fleurs du mal is a volume of French poetry by Charles Baudelaire. First published in 1857, it was important in the symbolist and modernist movements. The poems deal with themes relating to decadence and eroticism." Wikipedia.
Just thought I’d throw that out there.

Thank you Honeywest!!
Did we see a book with that name on one of the book shelves? Anyone remember?

Oh I would bet the title refers to Baudelaire. The works were considered erotic and excessive. He lived for the day and wallowed in his melancholy. Died young of syphilis. I would imagine the group in the TBL episode will be inclined toward debauchery and excess. TBL really loves those French poets, don't they?

Ahh, we had a feeling that she might get the nanny job. I wonder if that's what's happening.
Sounds like K might be taunting R. He has always said she was the most resourceful woman he'd ever known. Maybe her being better is how she's managed to stay ahead of him for the past 30 years. Obviously they have cared about one another, and maybe they still do, but there must have been some sort of falling out. I suspect it would be over Masha. I somehow doubt that Katarina would have agreed to having her memory wiped. Maybe that was the breaking point? I suppose we may be given some of these little breadcrumbs over this season. How much depends on if they come back for an 8th season or not.

I noticed in the pics, that it looks like the new nosey neighbor/ KR is poking around in Liz's stuff and finds notes about Ilya. I hope Liz still has her apartment cameras On!

Yeah, that's what I thought I saw, too. At first I thought it was something on Cooper's desk, but realized there were kid things in the photo, too. I wonder where Liz got the photo of Ilya?

It looks like a passport photo to me HW. I would guess they had it on file. I still think he is an old ghost himself. The man who disappeared from the embassy about the time when KR did? I think that is a real big flag. Especially if he was a part of the Cabal. I am sure the Umbrella Co. was after him too.

Did you see any of his books in your list Tatiana that you had from the book shelves?

No, nothing on Dom's shelves were similar to Red's apartment books, if that's what you're asking. On another board we were trying to figure out one of the books in Doms house - The Whole of Life or something to that effect... The Wheel of Life is Kubler Ross, memoir of death and dying... the other was a Swede? now I cannot remember.
It was a dead end.

Aram gets to wear something different for a change.

I was wondering if there were any by Charles Baudelaire? :-)

The title of the episode, "Les fleur de mal" is from Baudelaire. Funnily, I do not remember there being any French writers on the shelves at Red's little apartment or at Dom's home. There's Russian novels, books on architecture, and medical books.
However, Red does say to Ressler as he's giving him the blood transfusion in "Anslo Garrick" (season 1), "Any unusual cravings? (sometthing about...) thoughts on Proust?"
Proust is another French poet/prose writer
