Susan (aka Mr. Kaplan) just popped up on tonite's episode of Elementary - the Johnny Lee Miller, Lucy Liu CBS vehicle. Wow, was I surprised. Also appears she's fixed her glasses since that cruel scene in the woods - ie. getting shot by Red, getting found by Mountain Man.
Popped in about 1/2 way thru the ep. Was just about to call it a day - and veer off watching my Winnipeg Jets get waxed in Edmonton. Glad I stayed. Susan is an uncannily good actor.

BBB - thanks. watching her now. Though I must say it seems strange to see her sans Red and Dembe. LOL! yeah she got her glasses fixed!, ha

I was watching Mozart in the Jungle about a week ago, and she popped up in an episode there as a catering supervisor. I also enjoyed seeing her as a judge in the last season of The Practice, when James Spader was on it. Too bad they didn't have any scenes together on that one.

Tuxie400 - that's interesting. Makes me wonder when we will see her again in TBL. I think she will return, but not for a while. I certainly haven't seen her in any filming spoilers on set through ep 4.13, but I think we will later in the season.
Mozart in the Jungle is good - I don't have the streaming service but have seen it via someone else.a
Spader was wonderful in The Practice and Boston Legal. Someone bought me the entire set of Boston Legal as a Christmas gift. I am slowly working through it. I haven't watched it since it first aired.. Its really a revelation seeing it now, and comparing Spader's acting on it to now.

Never did see any of The Practice - but I watched a few eps of Boston Legal - and frankly, I was bored stiff. Part of it was fellow Canadian William "Pudge" Shatner, who played Denny Crane was a crankshot. Spader was always good - especially the Cuban cigar scenes with Denny - but Spader never presented the sense of menace he does in TBL.

BBB - agree that Spader is more menacing in TBL, different type of character, I guess. But I loved the way he played the range of what comprised a complex character in Alan Shore - from the outrageous to the humorous to the sincere and the "complicated" (that word sound familiar, LOL!)

Lara - if Spader's Red character counselled Denny - he probably would have said "I'm perpetually bored with you Denny, you've been wasting my time!" before shooting him twice for good measure . . . . .then saying "Mr. Kaplan, clean up duty in Mr. Crane's office!" lpl
