Yes, I thought Fiona was great and she has come a long way. I was thinking about what she was saying to Liz about not having any life. I think that was true. She spent her life hiding and afraid for no reason. That is sad.
I'm sure Liz is the only family she has now. She seems very eager to Keep her for Herself.
I wonder if, in a way, The Imposter maybe didn't have much of a life either before he became Raymond Reddington. Look at the adventures he's had since then.

Hi guys, I'm late to the party as usual. Just finished watching the episodes on NBC and I feel like this two-parter is one of the best starts to a new season yet, but mainly for the second episode which contained many gems.
Red is talking about finding his new self a couple of times and it feels like Red is indeed reborn, showing some of his brightest moments yet.
The scene with Red giving a speech about LSD to an empty General Assembly at the UN while Liz and Ressler watched a drunk Max Ruddiger try to dismantle a bomb, was simply outstanding as the writers manage to bring humor to such an otherwise threatening scene.
The dialogue between Cooper and Panabaker was great as usually.
I'm not a big fan of Jennifer yet, but I feel like she can become a very interesting character. It seems like the writers are building on a clash between her and Lizzy. In a way I feel like Jennifer is the replacement for Tom Keen, a main character outside the task force who always plays an important role in the plot. I hope they'll keep her on for a while.
There are also some loose ends in this episode. Moreau is not caught (even though Ressler could have shot him) and we don't really know who hired him. It would be nice to see this wrapped up in a future episode. Perhaps the Cabal might have something to do with it. After all, this is a loose end that has been there for 2,5 seasons now and it would be nice if the writers finally go back to the map from Mr. Gregory Devry. Otherwise I am honestly worried that many loose ends will not be wrapped up before the show ends.

Moreau is a juicy villain. Thats why they didn't end him. He could actually end up in the correctional facility - right next to Red . . . . !!! lol
Any speculation from my fellow refugees as to how long they keep Red in prison.
My guess has Liz, Samar, Aram, Dembe, Harold & Fatty Arbuckle hatching a plot to escape Red when they realize his life is in danger.
Perhaps not in Ep 3, but prolly 4 or 5?

BBB - Red is in prison at least until episode 12, and that's far too long in my opinion.
I think Moreau definitely will come back in a later episode, likely titled with his name.

Hi Yet! I like your idea that the Cabal would come back into the story with Moreau - that or the blue entities on Red's Map of Doom.. However, I think there's a strong possibility that many loose ends will never be wrapped up.

In the last moments of the Corsican, it seemed that Red was somewhat genuinely concerned about the prison. Although it might be that he just was unhappy about the state of the facility, having those medieval type walking ramps on the outer walls. Or he was actually concerned how to get out of the situation.
What comes to Jennifer, she is and most of the time has been to me, somewhat off. I don't like her a one bit, something in her makes me want to just hiss at her like a cat. Like that eerie feeling you get when you look a character that is a psychopath- like Lecter or Bates.

NP - Red did look concerned as he looked at the jail before him. He's in there for a lot of episodes. I felt some concern right along with him.
A lot of fans share your sentiments about Jennifer. I do believe she is the real daughter of the original RR. Jennifer wants revenge for the death of her father and a life that was stolen from her. I think the character adds a lot to the story. I was surprised by how quickly she seemed to forgive Liz for killing the real RR, and that confession may backfire on Liz down the line. I think the production team did their bit to make her look crazy by dressing her in a top that looked like a hospital gown.

Where's lara1? I'm really missing her input. She would have certainly commented on how Moreau put on those aviator sunglasses that look like Red's.

Well... THIS is her father!

YES! I'm so glad you brought this up because that's the first thing I thought of too. This is 100% hospital/mental institution apparel. It was weird, eerie, and cool all at the same time :-) Plus, the actress is really good at doing crazy.
The previews for upcoming shows list:
"DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL IS ALL GROWN UP"
and we assume they're referring to Liz, but what if it's double speak for the other daddy's little girl? What if it's referencing Jennifer?
All this time Liz never 'turned over' Reddington to the police. It wasn't until the presence of Jennifer that she did, despite her ambivalence about the evil and the good he does in this world.
If you watch the 36 second preview, Red is behind bars telling Liz, that the person who betrays is someone close, someone who knows you well. We are meant to believe it is Liz's closeness to Red, but actually it's Jennifer's closeness to Liz and Jennifer is the who betrays Liz. For that, Jennifer is going to get a slug in the head; and the person firing will be Liz.
Remember, Liz started to access her dark side. She enlisted the help of the psychiatrist for this purpose.
When Jennifer asks her, how can you be so calm (pretending to still be Reds daughter) and Liz says, I learned from the master. Liz is becoming Red.

LOL Isn't this an actor from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest?

Tatiana - I thought the "Daddy's Little Girl is all Grown Up" could work for either Liz or Jennifer. I wouldn't be surprised if Liz and Jennifer came to blows eventually. Remember, Jennifer's early statement to Garvey about she is he, and he is her. Liz is always easiest manipulated by someone she believes is family. That's her Achilles heel.

Yes... he is the actress's father... 'One face!'

Excellent point about Liz's Achilles heel and I had forgot about 'he is her and she is him'. Adding that to the bunch means to Jennifer, they are one and the same (in some way) and justifies turning against both of them.

So I couldn't help but notice the similarities between Moreau and Karakurt:
- Both are highly professional assassins.
- Both had facial surgery, but Moreau did it before he was on the list, Karakurt did it after.
- Both were free at the end of their respective episodes.
- Both planned to bomb an organisation, though only Karakurt succeeded.
- In the end of their episodes, one of the main characters ended up in a difficult situation (Keen was framed by the Cabal, Red went to prison).
And Karakurt was employed by the Cabal, so if these similarities are intentional, that might mean that Moreau might be part of their conspiracy too. It's probably meaningless though, but still there are quite some similarities.
BTW, I've been hoping for a Red-goes-to-prison plot for a long time, and I hope we'll see the return of some old blacklisters who ended up in prison. It would be fun to watch Red plan his escape with some familiar faces. Some of them (like Vanessa Cruz, Ivan, the forecaster) are still active and might help from outside, while others could be recruited in prison.

Just rewatching season 5, and in "Ian Garvey: Conclusion" there's this dialogue when Liz asks Jennifer to help her arrest Garvey:
Jennifer: "What if it was your father? What if it was Raymond Reddington? Would you arrest him?
Be honest, if you knew where he was right now, would you arrest him?"
Liz: "It isn't the same thing."
It seems that they were already hinting at this outcome back in the previous season. And this makes it seem like it was Jennifer who brought up the idea of Raymond's arrest.

Yeti - Those are some great parallels with Moreau and Karakurt!
I think this exchange was foreshadowing what's happening now.
Jennifer: "What if it was your father? What if it was Raymond Reddington? Would you arrest him?
Be honest, if you knew where he was right now, would you arrest him?"
Liz: "It isn't the same thing."
I also think Liz's dialog in the Sutton Ross episode after she wrecked her car was foreshadowing Red's arrest. Remember when she said she was arresting him after she hit her head and tried to give him his Miranda rights.

Just watched that episode too, and it's another nice hint which I only realize now.
I wasn't a fan of the way they revealed Liz knew Red's secret initially, but now that I watched the finale again, I like how Jennifer is introduced as Liz's help right after Tom disappears, making it even more clear that she is Tom's replacement in the series in a way. I hope the writers don't kill her off too soon. She could be a main character if there'll be a season 7.

When Red was gazing at the various parts of the correctional facility I saw it more as a professional escape artist evaluating all aspects of the facility exterior to plot his inevitable escape - if he's not legally freed in short order.
Love to see some of his former enemies, friends and associates in and out of the prison - and the officer (Fatty Arbuckle) who got the collar but was undermined by the SDNY lady prosecutor. Fatty would be as much comic relief as the post office guy from last season who still may be on Red's payroll (or did he die?)

BBB - Anthony the post office guy is still alive.
