I really enjoyed these Behind the Blacklist segments and I thought they were very well done. But one thing puzzled me. In the second segment about how it all began it said Raymond Reddington was a Naval intelligence officer who faked his death. As far as I know, no one has ever said that before. It was always just that he disappeared on Christmas Eve. Did that jump out to anyone else?

Yes, Tuxie400, that really jumped out at me, too. I was like what? Which Reddington faked his death? Real Ray or Fake Red? The only thing I could figure was that maybe real Ray was planning to fake his death in the fire but then it all went wrong and he really died and they were all like, uh oh. So they needed a substitute instead of faking his death because some other big secrets might be revealed if he was truly dead and not just faking it. Of course this only works if that’s what they were really doing the night of the fire. Katarina told Kate "there were too many people there." And then there’s always the old question of why did she have Masha there that night if it might be dangerous, why not just leave her at the hotel with Kate? Unless the original plan for that night was for them all to disappear together? But somebody screwed up the plan. Maybe that’s what Dom referenced when Red visited him in Artax Network?
More later when I get a chance.

I had noticed that too. Did you notice that it was the stuff from the early trailer they had in 2013? I just went back and looked at that one and the difference was they didn't say anything about a faked death in that one. Just that he was gone 20 years.
I had posted a link to it on here a while back. Here it is again.
I am wondering if it is Liz that turns him in or that she knows who did. The look on her face when he says whoever did this their fate is sealed and again when he says to her towards the end of it about his enemy was in the same room all along. She looks very afraid.
So many directions this can take.
Did anyone notice who the 2 girls are fighting? I couldn't tell.

Of course there’s the NBC first look:
So Liz and Jennifer are at the fire house? Is that what those ruins are? I liked that little robbery thing attached to the end. and I wonder if the secrets Liz has that he wants to know are her current secrets or maybe even ones from 30 years ago.
You know, one of the things that occurred to me when the imposter thing was confirmed was that old scene where Red tells Kirk that Elizabeth is his daughter was probably the truth, except that bubble girl/ballerina girl was the real daughter named Elizabeth of whoever he really was. And he basically took over Masha to the point where she totally became Elizabeth to him. Maybe he can’t separate the two anymore and hasn’t been able to for years. Her discovering that she was really Masha Rostova was the beginning of the unraveling of his little world built around her being Elizabeth. Whether he is actually related to her in any way is irrelevant. She is ultimately the Harbormaster's Daughter. Taken way far to the extreme degree where he not only took care of her but replaced her memories not to make her forget the fire tragedy, but to make her into Elizabeth. With all of the killings and crime that has followed in his wake as part of that quest, it really is a sort of sick paternalism, as Eisendrath once said. I’d be afraid if I was her, because in much the way that his relationship to Elizabeth protected Tom from Red, I think her identity as Elizabeth protects her from him. If that fails, she’s probably toast.

Eastcoast - Yes, I noticed the look on Liz's face when he said whoever turned him in their fate is sealed. To me it was something like guilt mixed with fear. So if she didn't do it, she knows who did (Jennifer).

Honeywest - Yes, I think those ruins are where the fire house was. But it would surprising nothing had been rebuilt there after all this time.
That little of snippet of Eisendrath implying the connection is not familial goes along with Harbormaster's Syndrome. Janus in The Caretaker loved Rose just as much as if she was his bio daughter.

I read some of the spoilers which said Jennifer and Liz were going to go back to the fire, the house, that night, to try to piece together what happened.
My guess is that Red will have Jennifer 'offed' because she will discover or remember or piece something together. Remember she has memories of her 'father' from the late 1980s even if they are the memories of a young child. She would remember her favorite things, probably her room, things he would have said, maybe things her mother would have done or said. She talked a lot about her 'pink' things and waiting for her daddy.
But I also think Jennifer was an after thought and her character was built out because of interests from fans.
I still think this season will be an epic race between two strong wills.

Hi Tatiana! It will be interesting to see if Liz and Jen find out anything new about the fire.

Whoa! I just saw this... Nice!
So I've been 99.9% Redarina since last spring, but this vid gives me moment to pause. Yes, Eisendrath's hint that maybe Liz and Red's relationship is not familial? And what secret is Red referring to when he tells Liz she needs to share his secrets with him? Is that just in reference to working with Jennifer?
hmmm... identity is interesting. I'm kind of mulling about the USA thing and Russian spies being created to be someone different. Is it still possible this Red was a Russian spy meant to take over RRs identity but because of ??? the real RR dying and then Katarina 'dying' he had to emerge on the scene.

Tatiana - Maybe Eisendrath's comment was just to keep the shippers hooked. After all, the clip is just a snippet of what he was saying. I've never been higher than 70 percent on Redarina, but I still think more of the clues match that than anything else.
Red is good at reading people. He knows Liz is up to something. He just doesn't know what.

I’ve never been on board with Redarina mainly because I still think there’s a possibility that Katarina herself is still alive. If so, knowing as we do now that Red is an imposter, and that he likely got the real Raymond killed somehow, that would probably make a living Katarina truly his greatest enemy. That’s if she is alive of course. We still really don’t know who sent that painting. And then we have Velov's story.
I have been developing a new unified theory about things since the big reveal that takes elements from my previous theories that are left from newer clues that rendered them deadends. Been so busy I haven’t written it out yet but I wanted to do it before season six kicks off. Keep in mind the only site I read is ours. I’m sure others have reached some of the same conclusions elsewhere, but I don’t know. So, before January I will have something in our theories section...

Honey West - I look forward to reading your theory. As much as I like the Redarina theory, it's hard for me to think it could survive the prison storyline.

I just tried to rewatch Behind the Blacklist and Sony had it removed from Youtube.
Offline
I noticed that last night when I tried to see it. Maybe they gave something away and didn't realize it.
Anyone out there get to see it before it was removed?
Offline
The reason given for removal was infringement on Sony's copyright. I wanted to rewatch especially to see the Bokenkamp and Eisendrath part again. Eisendrath said something like, "I can see why people think it's familial, but - " and that came right after the segment with Troy and Aaron explaining the mother theory, the brother theory and the twin theory. I know a lot of fans were upset that the most time was spent on the Redarina theory. and it even used a show clip to bolster what Troy was saying. But I don't think that gave anything away.

What clip did Troy use for that Tuxie?
Does anyone know when the new Podcast will be out? I thought someone said this week.
HW, I need to get my theory on here myself. I have it all jumbled around on paper. Lol
I am also hoping Kat comes back to face Red. I think that would be awesome! I want some back story.

Eastcoast - Sony put the clip in. Troy just talked about the dialog. It was the scene in Cape May where Red says to his Katarina hallucination:
"I was a very different person then. You?"
The podcast with the Bokenkamp interview was supposed to come out this week. Then Troy and Aaron got the idea to seek donations for the podcast and let the donors hear it first. So I don't know if it will come out at the end of the week or later.

Thank you Tuxie. I think I did see that but when I went back to see it and be able to pay more attention it was gone. I will just have to keep an eye for when the Podcast comes out.

I can barely remember this at all. Sigh...…. Hopefully it will come back out soon.
