Patter - I agree that the actual bones reveal didn't come as that much of a surprise. But I think Jennifer being involved and Liz knowing the ID of the bones was a good twist. It wasn't the best of the season finales, but it does change things up for Season 6.
I also enjoy that Liz knows, that Jennifer is involved, and that Red is in the dark about it. I thought her little sob story in the scene where she is brought to sit in front of him was really transparent (and tipped me off that she was faking before we knew for sure). I hope Jennifer continues to be an active character in season 6. I had seen that Fiona Dourif was taking on a recurring role in a SyFy network show, but I'm not sure how much or when.

Brittany - I saw that Fiona was cast in a recurring role as a charasmatic cult leader in a new show called The Purge that will air on both Syfy and the USA network. Hopefully she's in only a few episodes, and it will allow her to also be in several Blacklist episodes.
I wonder if Liz will ever go back to the Oleander lead. Or Dom. Did she really believe him?
And can it just be said that for being so rational and efficient, Kaplan could have solved her problems with Red much easier than spending all his money, burning all his bridges, and digging up 86 bodies when all she had to do was dig up one and hand it to Liz? Granted, we would have missed out on several episodes...
And naturally I doubt Liz will try to get any DNA from him directly and try running it through CODIS to look for any clues to crimes or missing persons. Because that has the potential to solve the mystery too quickly, depending on the path the writers are taking.

Lucky me I developed ahellavu cold in the past 12 hours so tell me, other than the "official" DNA results, were there any other reveals, truths, clues, or new theories from this episode?

There wasn't much. I was surprised Red burned the bones in a barrell at Dom's. Obviously Dom was in on the RR secret all along. That seems to be a clue indicating our Red is very, very close to Dom.

Well, I am definitely thinking he was more than Red's piano teacher at this point.

I am right with you on that Brittany. The sob story was so out of character for her it was a tip off. Actually just before that when I saw them crawling together and Liz was ahead of him leading the way out of the building at the post office was when I started thinking that this was a set up.

Did anyone else think about Ross saying it was 30 years ago that Red pulled one over on him and yet he knows its wasn't this Red because he has already knows real Red is in the bag. So why is he blaming this Red for was the first Red did?

Could the writers be that neglectful to the timeline? Or is this a clue as Well?
He had the duffle bag right next to him in the room when he was talking to Red and he said he had always wanted to be in the room with the man who gave him the bad schematics. He technically was, since Raymond's bones were in that bag.
In reference to the comment, I wondered if Sutton Ross always blamed Raymond Reddington for giving him the wrong schematics, but it wasn't Raymond's fault. Someone else did it. As for Red saying "I didn't give it to him", Red maintains his identity as Raymond Reddington even when he's with Dembe. One thing that stood out to me as a point against imposter theory was in season 4 when Dembe and Red were on the plane to Europe because Kaplan was going to expose Red for when he wanted to get in with Werner by having his son Hans kidnapped and Red said he was determined to become the criminal the world had been told he already was. But now that we have confirmed that he is an imposter, it seems like he was literally in the role. When Red officially made the decision to become Raymond Reddington, he really became him. History and all.

There is now clear evidence (writing-wise) that the real Red Reddington & Co.'s lives were over-taken or more appropriately over-ridden by a cunning team including "New Red", Mr. Kaplan, Dembe, Baz & others. Original Reddington was such a magnificent criminal force that few people had either seen or heard of him (using underlings & lower level criminals to implement his well-planned & crafted crimes).
So that's exactly why the Spader-played Reddington was able to inhale the nuances, actions, activities and defenses of "Bones Reddington" - the original Raymond Reddington.
Dom, thru his Russian contacts and interactions may be one of the few people in the Reddingtons circle who actually knew both men - and was permitted to live due to various important reasons - much of which is still foggy but reasons nonetheless.
Outside possibility, too that Harold Cooper is another in the rarified are of The Dom List.

Purposely neglectful perhaps? In order to create a unique fog of cognitive dissonance for the viewers - which in a strange way actually drives the series!

From a Redarina perspective, our Red could have been following through on Original Red's assignments in that year after the fire and RR's death. Since the timeline is so screwed up, we don't know when "now" is in the BL world. Although going on what Jennifer said, it's probably 28 years since the fire. Is Sutton Ross rounding up to 30 years, or was the switch made at the time RR was captured by Seaduke? Only time will tell.

I'm not sure original RR was actually much of a criminal at all. I think he was likely building a network of people who could be used in his Naval intelligence operations. His only crime was probably consorting with the enemy - Katarina.

its an open question for me. since Sutton presumably knew that "Red" was not the "real" RR, and yet one of those "Reds" burned him years ago, why would he have it out for this Red if he knew it wasn't the Red who damaged him? maybe just taking advantage of the situation? that part didn't entirely add up for me, but I admit, I need to re-watch as so much was going on......

Hahahaha! But what kind of time are we talking about here? Time for real life writers, producers, and tv corporations to reveal whatever story they are able to share in what ever time they are afforded. No, the fate of our Reddington and Elizabeth and the story John Bokenkamp has to tell is dependent on business.
I have the weird feeling as a viewer of this show that it's like walking through Disney World for the umpteenth time except this time we're finally aware of all the slight of hand, trompe l'oeil, and underground tunnels and instead of getting about the park on the 'magical' side, we navigate through the underworld tunnels and finally
,, the glass is shattered and we see that
It has nothing to do with creative process or great plot design:
our television world is puppetted about in grand negotiations by people who have never watched the show, hawking viewer ratings to the highest bidders, trading players because they need to fill a 30 minute slot....
