Re: Episode 5.21 - Lawrence Dane Devlin - Discussion Page

The way this fellow describes body decomposition reminds me of how the Stewmaker described it. Maybe a parallel that suggests Samar survives as Liz did?

God I hope so. that would be a horrible way to die. Although we do know from the spoilers that she has more suffering to go through.. and somehow she gets a cell phone...

Tatiana - badger.   Lots of them in the UK, incidentally.

Re: Episode 5.21 - Lawrence Dane Devlin - Discussion Page

WOW - that was unexpected.
Went from a search for #'s to an masters acting class for Amir Arison . . . .  .  Aram like we've never seen him before - - - - love his wonderful sense of optimism in Samar's hospital room - - - combined with the music pieces he OUTSHONE EVERYONE ELSE ON THE SHOW - and with peeps like Spader, Lennix, Boone that's mighty, mighty hard.
Reddington's search for the duffel getting old and tiresome.
Liz's parallel search for it getting interesting.
The auction house was unique with all the "muscle" - and Red turning around the owner in a few minutes.
Pruitt Taylor Vince didn't do much other than his religious shtick he imposed on Samar.
Samar had a few good lines - but her most impressive work was her amazing physical acting while imprisoned, on the ground briefly and then in her 'River of No Return' scenes. She made every fibre of film agonizingly remarkable! KUDOS TO MS. MARNO

BBB - yes, Samar's acting was completely in keeping with character.
You want to know the breaking point for me? When Samar says to Aram, Aram, my love, ....
"my love" "my beloved" that's the lifeline, the river that runs deep, kind of love, the love that every fiber of your being....I'm still teary!

Re: Episode 5.21 - Lawrence Dane Devlin - Discussion Page

I wasn't surprised by what happened to Samar, or with our last view of her on a respirator, presumably brain dead. And I wouldn't be surprised to see more members of the task force die in the finale.

Re: Episode 5.21 - Lawrence Dane Devlin - Discussion Page

I agree with the comments on Mozan's and Amir's acting.

although I have to say a Samar/Aram story was not high on my list of must see TV.

However, I do think the lack of oxygen and (maybe) brain injury is yet another symbol around the overall story that we are seeing.  Maybe it will tie in, symbolically, in some way to the finale reveal.

Disappointed with the Liz/Red piece of the story.  Maybe they just didn't want to reveal anything before the "big" reveal.  And it had better be big LOL.
