Thank you Colleen. Haven't seen that in forever!
I do not think Cooper knows All of it, but I think he must know about the fingerprints or something. He would have read his intake when he turned himself in. They would have written down his scars etc... It is just hard to imagine He is totally clueless? He kept the fact hidden that he knew him before hidden until last season.

That might be, Brittany. I've been having some dental work done (I'm home today, recovering), so I'm not remembering things well.

I hope your feeling better! I hate getting dental work done!

Did anyone notice the gesture Red made when he got out of the car at the showdown? It was decidedly 'Tony'. Just another example of Spaders brilliance:-)
I know there's a lot of theories out there, but there's so much reference to the theatre, acting, stage, and roles. Even the scene in J Edgar Hoover's apartment looked like a stage.

Tatiana - That was a nice touch with Red imitating Tony. The acting references seem to be increasing in this part of the season: the doubles, the capers, Gilda, Stubby Kaye.
And the dog references keep on coming too:
Red to Aram about Liz: "And now, like a hound on a hot scent, she' going after an item Garvey took from me, and I have no doubt he's headed the same way."
"howling at the moon"

I hate to admit it, but the references this episode were lost on me at times. I hadn't got the dog references before now? Although I often think of that huge dog in the stewmaker! whoa...
Yes, the acting, theatre, drama, etc. references are just flooding the script. It's decidedly different. And I really have more of a stage acting/stage theatre feel from it. I sometimes wonder if being located in NYC has an impact? (I rather enjoy it! so refreshing from Hollywood!) Unless, do you think this is from different writers and directors? Just wondering.

I caught the dog reference right away and said to myself that you were doing the same thing.
Red doing Tony was funny. You are right about the acting references.

Shout out to John Bissell for music selection on The Blacklist episodes.
It was his especially fine selection of a piece for the (Sinclair - Tony - Red) scene to quickly grab our attention and sweep us into Sinclair's dynamic crafting of Tony as Ian Garvey's double. The Blacklist has shown the importance of music that can be episode specific to further envelop and carry the viewer into each scene's intense emotion.
The quirky, teeth clenching, growling John Noble is magnificently enhanced with the tune "Assassin" by the Ikebe Shakedown, an Afro-funk, Soul, Boogaloo, Jazz instrumental group in New York City. Their horn section arrangements are tight and amazing and Mike Buckley's blaring, growling baritone sax was a perfect match for the craggy intensity of John Noble. It is wonderful that Mr. Bissell can find lesser known new talent for these musical match-ups.
And River Matthews' "House of the Rising Sun" voice captured the bottomless anguish and despair for the Pete's Tavern scene. Fiona Dourif has a magnificent range of facial expression and demeanor.
Bravo to Mr Bissell for making music such an important force in this five season show. Let's hope there is a sixth season!

Looking at the fact that the final blacklister of this season has number 17, and that there is no two-parter finale, I believe the writers are already pretty sure there will be a new season. It appears unlikely to me that they would not choose at least a top-5 blacklister for what might be the final episode.

Trelliswires - Good to see you posting again! I agree that the music always enhances BL and about Fiona Dourif's acting.

Trelliswires and The Yeti - good to see you on the board!
Absolutely agree about the music and about Fiona - she was amazing and absolutely believable in her display of intensity, anguish and shock.
The Yeti - oh, I absolutely believe that they already know whether or not they are renewed, and may have for a little while now. No inside info, just a conclusion based on the way the season is going, interviews and overall demeanor and statements from actors. Of course, I could also be wrong! LOL.

Trelliswires & Yeti nice to see you on here!
I agree, music was great. I thought House of the Rising Sun was a fantastic choice!
Yeti, I was thinking that also. Actually, I was thinking they know they need to fill in those low numbers before they exit. Lol

I think (and hope!) you're right about them knowing that they have a sixth season!
I think JB and JE tend to know in plenty of time. Didn’t JB accidentally reveal that they were renewed for season 3 too early one year?
