BBB - Perle Vision! LOL
Lake Girl - I noted down lots of symbols in this episode too. though I need to re-watch to pull it together.
Next week is going to be off the charts I think!

So Liz has got some sort of DNA test next week. Can't wait to see who is matched to whom.
Red hasn't looked too worried about the whole Kirk/father thing so far - only focused on Agnes. hmmmmm

lara1, a rewatch is definately in order. Hope to find some time this weekend to do just that.
Need sleep....will check back tomorrow. Good episode and goodnight

BBB, seemed to me that Kaplin's screne time was under 75 Hope she gets more time next week.

Can we hire Jellybean to track down Mr. Kaplan for us? 🤕

Colleen - LOL!
Based on what happened in the last 10 minutes, I am really looking forward to next week. I think its building up to a reveal of some sort.

I've got to say the bowling alley scenes with Jellybean were my favorites in this episode. Glen's mother gave him that nickname, according to Red.
The scene in the car when Liz confesses she lied to Red was very touching. You've got to wonder if what
she says about her child isn't exactly the way Red feels about her.
Kaplan in chains! "Like a ghost from a wishing well with chains upon my feet." The writers were obviously listening to Gordon Lightfoot. There is a definite "Misery" vibe here. Leon Rippy is perfect as the crazy survivalist.
But the thing that had me all excited was the preview and the DNA test!

Tuxie400 - I think you are onto something with that scene with Liz and Red. It was very moving. He teared up and could not even speak he was so affected.
good observations on the wishing well ! I didn't think of that but my head was stuck at "Misery".
That bowling alley scene was priceless - I'm glad they did two scenes with them.

I'm just glad Mr. Kaplan is alive. I'll ignore the creepy cabin junk.
Samar needs to either go take Mr. Kaplan's place or go be on Redemption. It's a soap opera on the task force. They lost the chemistry. Having her sleep with both men was a really bad idea.
I got to see the preview for next week! Cool! It's about time someone brought up a DNA test.

BBB - yes I read that it will be "several" episodes till we find out what is going on with her.
Too many competing story-lines. Guess they had to temporarily "park" Kate!
Completely agree on the story-line comment. But I always assume they're trying to set up the next episode when stuff like this happens.

Tuxie400 Neat catch about the Gordon Lightfoot lyrics and Kate in chains!
I'm tempted to get a Lightfoot greatest hits album. Maybe playing it backwards will reveal all the answers to our Blacklist questions 🤔
I enjoy The Blacklist but reading everyone's posts makes me appreciate the show so much more.

Wow, there's a lot of spinning plates in this episode.
We have the set up for Tom and Liz to go their separate ways in "Redemption"
Samar is leaving, but wait! she's jealous, oh, Aram really has a girlfriend, he's not interested in her anymore! OH Samar! are you a an emotional roller-coaster?
Glen is such a smooth operator ;-)
Kate is in seriously bad situation. I'm actually very afraid of what we;re going to see next!
I am really looking forward to the next episode! Is Liz really Kirk's daughter? Did Red really lie to her all this time?
Lara - did you notice in next episode Red is at a church organ? There's that keyboard/piano theme again!

Colleen - #47 - Jellybean is just the man for the job! But he might have to use Marilyn and Monroe to catch her scent and distract that rotweiller.

Tatiana # 55 - Yes, Red is at the organ, and playing - finally! And the phonograph at the start of this episode, almost the first thing. though I didn't catch what the music was.
Yes a lot going on in this episode - I liked it. Nice set up to get the doctor of the eco-terrorist's son to lead them to Kirk.

Nice to see a few more have joined us! Thanks for migrating over. Honey West and Tatiana are moderating for those who may have missed it.
Quick reminder...... the BSG rules are still applying here, even though we have not had a chance to create the page in such a short time frame.
So.... since politics are out , let's say it's best to stay off the political references.
Thanks!!!

Good input everyone, as usual. Glad to see so many refugees over here talking amongst yourselves. Sometimes it's a little inconvenient being three hours behind most of you.
Let's see, some random thoughts...
Poor Kate! Out of the proverbial frying pan and into the proverbial fire. Her rescuer has turned into her captor. Maybe he sees an opportunity to benefit from the situation. He knows Kate was shot on purpose by some guy. There could be money in turning her over to that guy. And he really has no idea of her true value with what she knows. Well, that's one possibility. Red is too busy to deal with that right now anyway. Kate is the ghost from the wishing well all right. And she is probably going to come back to haunt Red.
Kate tried to do what she thought was right and Agnes gets taken away. Tom tries to do what he thinks is right and Agnes is taken even farther away. Now he and Liz are on the outs. To her, Red seems to be the only one doing anything productive. In their last scene I was so sure Red was going to give her a hug, but that would have been too obvious.
Glen "Jellybean" Carter. Been too long since we have had a Glen fix! What a fun character to write for! His interactions with Red are priceless! And who knew Dembe was a bowling coach? Too funny! They needed a lighter scene.
About all we really got from the preview is that Liz's father is still alive after all. But the big question is why has it taken four years to finally get some DNA testing done? And who did it?
Well, more later when I rewatch it. And now

Oh, and it seems I guessed right about a stem cell transplant. (blush) why doesn't Kirk just ask Liz to trade places with Agnes? I'm sure if he explains the situation to her that she will totally understand. (ermm)

JellyGlen was obviously this week's star.
Show-runners are presenting the viewer with quite the dichotomy. Everyone is looking for Baby Agnes & Kaptain Kirk . . . . .nobody, but nobody looking for Old Mr. Kaplan.
Red can't out-fox Kirk, the team (especially Ressler & Samar I'mLeavin') looked like Keystone Kops but Harold still got the job done and expunged eco-man before he had a chance to wreak major havoc.
Still early in the season but I think the show-runners have something special planned for Kate. First she'll overpower her captor, The Mountain Man aka Andy Griffith, Jr. Then, after a quick visit to Perle VIsion for new x-ray spex she'll form a team independent of both Red and the FBI. . . . . . and take it upon herself to find Agnes & Kirk.
Pretty dizzyfying stuff but that's The Blacklist.. . . . . never a dull moment and NEVER EVER A LINEAR PLOT!

BBB - Excellent observation about the dichotomy!
Honey West - I like your parallel with Mr. Kaplan and Tom.
It seems there were a lot of trust issues this week. At the beginning, Red had trust issues with Liz and wouldn't tell her how the blacklister connected with finding Agnes. Samar had trust issues with everyone. Kaplan has trust issues with her creepy captor. Tom doesn't trust Liz to reel Kirk in. And at the end, Liz has trust issues with Tom, even though she knows he did what he thought was best for Agnes and her.
I can't believe I'm saying this. But there was a little too much Red this week. At the beginning when he's giving Liz info on the blacklister, he starts with one of his signature stories. And for the first time ever, I don't want to hear it. All I can think is why are you spending time torturing Liz and the audience with this lame story? Time is of the essence. Find that *#** baby!
Speaking of time, BBB you were right about Kate getting only a bit of time. But those few seconds were so creepy and chilling! It was nice to see the Post Office team get more screen time this week. I especially enjoyed the Aram/Cooper scene on taking the blacklister out. And what was that Ressler said about Aram's hot girlfriend? LOL
Biggest surprise of the week: Aram telling Samar off and Ressler asking her to stay. Now that's mixing things up!

BBB 59#: here's hoping you're right about Mr. Kaplan...it has perplexed me from the start that they introduced such a competent character just to fetch and carry (and clean).
Adding my thanks to those who made this safe haven for blacklist enthusiasts. C
