He might, Eastcoast. He certainly needs to be motivated to be carrying a bag of bones around, especially bones that RR wants back. That's living dangerously.

We have been discussing about how the bones are important to Red, with no real conclusion, LOL. But I now wonder, why are the bones important to Garvey? He seems, based on last week, to be carting them around with him. Part of that may be that he doesn't want to keep them far from him or Reddington may find them and grab them. But is there another reason why he keeps them close? Don't know. Just a thought.
Are the bones important to both of them because they share in the "secret" in some way.....though I still think, of the two of them (oops there's that double thing again!) they are more important to Red. Or maybe that's what Red thinks. Red was surprised by the whole Berlin thing, Fitch's involvement etc. and they have telegraphed Berlin this season. Just wonder....

My net is they are Raymond Reddington, Masha Rostova, or Elizabeth Keen.

Getting back to the bones.....what if in fact they are not the "original" bones. lots of references to doubles etc. and Red wanting those animal skeletons.....what if they were in fact switched either by Red or by Tom earlier on? The old "double jump". Although I think its unlikely. Just a thought. Or maybe even Garvey did , with a "decoy" set of bones. Somehow I think that's still unlikely though.

Those are good guesses. My recent thinking goes in a similar fashion. Although with Jennifer's involvement, I think there's a chance they are the real Naomi, or possibly a gril whose name is not familiar to us.

I do think Red and Garvey share the secret in some way.

Whoever they are Kate felt that giving them to Liz would reveal to her why Red came back into her life. Garvey said they gave him power over Red. It would seem that Liz is still at the center, but why would Garvey order her killed? How would they give him power over Red, be so important to Liz, yet Garvey either was totally clueless as to who Liz was or else he didn’t think it was important to the power he would wield by having them. I’m not seeing it.

Maybe each of them has only half of the secret, or, a different understanding of the secret. Like Red and Berlin. But, yes, it doesn't all hang together....

It is weird, and on top of that we know Tom had to see something that made him pull it together?

After tonight's episode (4/11 -- intro of Jennifer Reddington), I think they are the original Raymond Reddington's bones. Here might be the twist: the Reddington imposter might not be the father of either Jennifer or Liz -- the original Reddington was. Further, KR killed him -- by accident or on purpose -- and that's why Kaplan apologized to her when she dug up the bones. Further -- maybe the imposter is a Russian agent (trained at the American "village" in Russia that we saw in the Redemption series) and is
KR's brother, so he's actually Liz's uncle.
OK . . . now I'm hurting myself. But that's a way Dom could be his father . . . or a relative.

Iowa Watcher - well that's what I'm thinking re RR so I'm glad someone else said it first! LOL. There has to be a twist with Jennifer's background. And I've always felt that Dom behaved like Red's father.

Ditto!
I'm interested to know how this little girl they talk about in 5.20 is connected to Red's secret. She is said to have a family with secrets. It seems very unlikely that she's somehow Jennifer's daughter, so what is the connection? Could she be related to Red some other way? A siblings' granddaughter? Could she be related to KR and Dom somehow? Granted, it seems like a lot of family members to be introducing this year if she is a relative, but the motto of the season is "Family. Business.". Or is this going to take us down the path of the person in the duffle bag being someone we as the audience don't know?

Now that would be a good one! I like the thought that they were switched by Tom or they took the wrong ones that were in Pete's place. He could have had a skeleton around somewhere? I could use a laugh like that after all this!

This is just a thought I had when I was thinking about Red getting new fingerprints.
Could the bones be connected to the fact Red got new fingerprints?
I really do not know how I really want to word this, but if it is not KR in the bag which is my first thought then what if there are 2 Red's? What I mean by that is what if He or the people in the Government were worried about his fingerprints or Dna being connected to something? When he was captured by Seaduke I am sure they got all that from him. What if they slightly altered his new ones so they don't match his old ones and used another dead agent to have his old ones.
Not sure how to make it all fit but I have been thinking about it for a few months.
Just another theory.....

Tuxie, this is the theory I mentioned a while back and I said I didn't know how to quite put it into words yet.
I have a Lot of thought about it in my mind, I just need to pull it together better. But I have been lacking in the Sleep department so I thought I will just throw it out here since I know you guys get the essence of what I am saying.
There are a lot of details that can be explained with this idea. He is her father but can still be an considered an imposter even though he isnt.

Interesting idea east coast. And they keep showing that fingerprint card in the previews. Though that may be a misdirect.
Then there was that business last season about Gale thinking Red’s fingerprints would be on the record cleaner. But they didn’t match Though that could have been for a number of reasons I suppose.

Fingerprint records have been a recurring image. And I notice many times Red just drops guns which have his fingerprints. One example are when he puts his gun in the ice after shooting a DEA agent in Alistair Pitt, and the other is In Ian Garvey on the stairway when he throws down a shotgun and leaves it. I know there have been other times too, but I don't recall specific episodes.

It could be a misdirect lara1. I remember bringing that dark pic to life that was shown with the fingerprints and it was Red.
Good idea that Gale had but I do think it could have been anyone's fingerprints who had been at Dianes.
True tuxie.
