BBB - Now I know who you're talking about. I have heard of that Malala.

Tatiana - The boy was not dead. Red just meant he wouldn't kill an innocent boy. Liz should have known that.
Of course. Sometimes I need someone else to interpret Red-speak.

I was surprised Samar said her parents were killed when she was 9. She certainly looked much older in that episode that showed her finding the bodies and comforting her brother. I was thinking she was 12-14.

tuxie400 - yes I thought she was older than 9 as well

I thought Samar was the best part of the episode, although Megan's acting was excellent in the bookcase betrayal scene. No new clues about the suitcase, or much of anything.

Samar has been the Vice-President of standing around this season. Tonite - she got her powers back - in droves!

Kind of a creepy show tonight. I know arranged marriages are a problem, but that aspect in TBL didn't work
for me. The other parts were good.
I liked when Dembe didn't stop Liz: "It was theraputic" -- HA! Good line.

Dembe's line was a good one!

We did get two medical reference and a fire. I'll add them to the lists.

I don't like that stuff either. I just turned my head like I do for anything else I don't like.
But that line for Dembe, awesome! lol

Although I did like this episode I personally think it lacked some zing!
When you come back after a break I expect a lot of action! Let alone a clue which we deserve.
Just a quick peak of yet another set of bones.....
I enjoyed this episode. It may not have had any mythology to it, but I think they are likely saving that up for the last 3-4 episodes and that we'll get a lot of it to make up for the lack of it this season. But I feel like it is setting up for Garvey's downfall now that Red has the ledger. I did think the Liz vs Red stuff on social media from the Blacklist people was a overhyped for this particular episode, but I think it will get to be a bigger deal as we get closer to the finale.
Occasionally I wonder if Dembe will do something to give Liz a leg up. Not that he would tell her the secret because he is loyal to Red, but perhaps not stop her if she was going to do something or not tell Red something that he would want to know in order to stop her. To give her a bit of a chance to learn it on her own.
I thought the previews from the City channel were good with Garvey kissing that woman on the head. I wonder if she is supposed to be a daughter or something. I'm eager to see the next episode.

Was it just me or did it seem like there were more bones in the duffel bag than what was originally in the suitcase? Maybe I am seeing things.
Loved Dembe's therapeutic line.
Even though the storyline of child brides was uncomfortable, it’s a subject that needs to be acknowledged and brought into the public’s awareness and it provided a wonderful way to use Samar in the story. Bravo to Samar for sticking up for the victims, including the week’s Blacklister.
Aram. I really hope they are not setting him up for a tragic exit of some sort.
I agree, Honey West. I thought the storyline was an excellent one and that Samar's work was phenomenal in it. I'm still gonna worry about poor Aram until the season is over, especially when 5.20 and 5.21 are supposed to be more Samar-centric, at least in part of the story line. And he was such a sad puppy when Samar didn't even seem to question the ring's intention.

Honey West- I didn't get a good look at the bones. Who knows if they even used the same prop this time. They changed props between 4.22 and 5.01. They may have the same one, but it's hard to tell. I thought the bag looked different.

Hey gang - Somehow I missed seeing the duffel and the bones. Were they in the episode when Garvey was talking to Red on the phone, or when?

I thought this ep was a little meh. The Liz vs. Red was far from a WWF match. Although, you could tell she was very upset, but like always she understood his reasoning.
The Brimley conversation was hilarious and in my opinion one of the better scenes.
I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope Aram doesn't exit the show. Who will run the tech side of the P.O.? Ressler is trained in kicking gnomes and rarely catching his target. Lately, Cooper can only give the same direction to Navabi and Ressler. Samar, well, she will always be bad ass, but I don't think her skills are for running tech ops. Strictly kicking ass.
Bag of bones appeared bigger and fuller.
That's all I got.

If they're going to kill anyone off, I would be least effected if it were Samar. Maybe they are giving her a lot of screen time here at the end (the two-parter that is supposed to be Samar-centric) only to bump her off at the end of it.. But maybe they let Aram get field trained just to kill him off. Either way, I predict one of them will die by the end of this season. No one gets happily ever after in this show.
I find the Samar and Aram relationship very boring. Aram was much more interesting when he was dating Elise/Janet.

Right after Ressler takes the coat from the guy that the girl touched after the bomb went off. Garvey is looking in the bag and the guy walked in and said they had a problem.
