Tatiana - the wood thick ceiling beams I think were also in Dom's house....For Cape May, I don't remember sloping ceilings exactly, but several bedrooms were built with dormer type windows, so yes its very possible they did have sloping ceilings.
And yes the ceiling in the fire memory - it completely opens at one point to reveal something like steel like beams. almost like a film set.....

Boy, I don't remember the ceiling being open with steel beams in the fire memories. Was this in the Braxton fire recall, or some other like Connolly?

Tuxie - its really only visible if you freeze the Braxton sequence frame by frame. As I recall, its along with the part of the memory where Liz is at the end of the hallway, and it changes size, like she seems very small/the hallway very big, then all of a sudden she seems very tall, the hallway shorter, like her head is almost touching the ceiling.....like in Alice in Wonderland. I think its either during that sequence, of just after it, is a glimpse of the ceiling, it is open in the middle, with beams visible sort of above it and beyond it. Like the hallway ceiling is a false ceiling, and the whole thing is staged in a larger space with a higher ceiling/roof
I think others have seen it and maybe posted freeze frames of it online, not sure where.

Lara, I posted the pics. I got them when I was trying to see the image at the end of the hall in the very quick flash back she had coming out of the closet.

Thanks for the info. I do remember it being discussed before, but I can't remember the image. I just rewatched Braxton Pt. 2 over the weekend, so it must be very hard to catch.

Eastcoast - I am kind of remembering the ceiling photo now. I did a search and found it under our summer discussions from last year. That's when my mom was in and out of the hospital so much. I guess that's why I didn't remember it well. It was such a stressful time for me. The ceiiling was open on the right side, and even looking at the pic, I don't see pipes.

So I re-watched again tonight because I could not pay too much attention the other day.
two things I picked up that I didn't see before.
The Capricorn Killer's wife and son with the red hair - the son is wearing very thick black glasses, remind me of Garvey's
In the motel room where Red ambushes Garvey and where earlier the rap music was playing - there is a closet with white louver shutter doors.....again on the same side (ie right side). Have you also noticed, that in addition to a lot of louvered closets, they all, or at least most of them, are on the right hand side or rooms, like the ones in fire night.
Tuxie400 - the split ceiling is very hard to see. I think it may appear along with one of those flashes of light, which are very hard to catch.

i also re-watched the ambush of Garvey. yes it was a strange scene.....the curtains are moving, yet you can't see anyone outside the windows firing in.......

lara, that whole thing shooting through the curtains and hitting everyone but Garvey was a bit out there!

Tuxie, I had posted a few pics. I still have them somewhere. I blew up the ceiling one and you could see stuff in the background.

This episode wasn't the first time we've had heterchromia (two different eye colors) in The Blacklist. The first BL character to have it was one of the Germans whose group Tom infiltrated in Season 2. The guy, named Elias, had one blue eye and one brown eye and cut Tom's leg in the Tom Keen episode, theatening to blood eagle him. I noticed it on a rewatch last weekend. So parallel eyes, and both guys connected to Tom and a knife.

Good catch Tuxie!!
