Tatiana, I scanned it earlier but need a few to go read it. I started to and got into something else.

Tuxie, #152, thank you for that.
I was remembering a few others that remembered Red and that was Scottie and she called him by name. Which also means Howard would have known him.
I think Dom knowing him from the way they acted.
Kate gave no indication it was not him when she met with him.
Liz also recognized him from the fire memories.
I had someone else in my head and just forgot it.

Looking at some photos of James Spader as a young man and I could totally see him as a woman

Tatiana - Spader dressed as a woman at least twice in Boston Legal and looked pretty convincing.

Did anyone notice the testosterone line in the Pattie Sue Edwards episode? Either the writers are joking with the mommy theory, or they're dropping clues.
Red looks at Davenport School's building plans. Then says, Yes, very impressive. (Same thing Katarina says about Kate's resume in Requiem). What a gymnasium! I can just feel the testosterone!
This got me thinking has testosterone been mentioned before? Inquiring minds want to know, so I did a search. The only other time was this season in The Endling:
Ana Dewan (assistant of Princess Sofia) lies on a hospital bed, unconscious.
Dr. Dresner: So I've started her on Epogen, B12, testosterone. If she responds like the others, I'll have her up to the desired volume soon.
Eastcoast - Any idea why they would give her testosterone when her blood and heart were going to be used for the transplant? Epogen is given for anemia and boosts production of red blood cells. But it can have the side effect of blood clotting, so I don't know why that would be used either.
I started thinking about heart transplants and, of course, did more research. People do have hearts of the opposite sex in transplants. Men do not do as well with women's hearts because they generally need larger organs. I couldn't find anything about whether a woman's heart could be used for a young boy. Size of the heart seems to be the biggest concern as a match, so I would think a child's heart of either sex would be the best bet for a prepubescent boy. The organ does not have to be of the same blood type, although there is less chance of rejection if it is.

Tuxie400 - interesting thoughts - yes I caught that reference. The clues certainly are heavy. But then I still think, they would not reveal something as major as that now (assuming it is the case), with at least a season to go. So why they would drop so many hints I don't know unless they are false bread crumbs (or maybe that's what they want us to think, heheh). Although I always go back to MP as well though I think something like the liposcupture thing and the testosterone thing are more linked with Rederina.
With the heart transplant, I did wonder how an adult heart would be placed in a boy, but I am not expert on it. And I guess it was in keeping with the entire "heart" theme running through the season. I think it may also point to the overall theme swapping around of either people, or identities, but that is just me.

P.S. - and yes, enquiring minds want to know!!!

lara1 - I don't think they're revealing anything. I think they're just stirring the pot in the fandom. Or maybe priming the pump.

Tuxie, #165, I would think that since it is not a good idea for anyone to do that but in this instance I think the timing is that they needed something. In real life this is only temporary and he would most likely need another one especially if he grew into a large man, if he is a very small man he will last longer before he would need another.
In the meantime, since a woman has much less testosterone than a man they would need to increase the levels and bring them up before they do the transplant. It would help the heart to last longer.

Thanks for weighing in, Eastcoast!

No problem. There could be more to the answer but that would be the basics.
I’m of the mindset that if some sort of imposter theory is at play that it would be a last season reveal. I tend to think it would be the type of thing that might turn people off to learn their favorite character is a fraud. It’s a big risk to take if you want more seasons.

Some people want the imposter but most don't. You are right though. To have 5 years vested would be a major bummer for a lot of people.
I have a theory along those lines but I have to figure out how to word it. It is very twisted and I have been thinking for a few weeks how to pull that together.
I know Tatiana has one too. Not sure what it relates to though?

So here are some photos of Lotte Verbeek to compare to Spader as a young man.

Tatiana - thanks for that. To be honest, I don't see much in common. Different shaped face, jawline and eyes, at least with these photos. But I see your point. LOL

and another...

Tatiana - I think Katarina looks more like Red than Liz. LOL
I would have never recognized Lotte Verbeek in those photos. I would say the only thing I see is similar eye shape.

Seriously guys? Honey West, as a make up artist, you know it would not have been very hard to make Spader look like Lotte. They have similar coloring and bone structure. I definitely see how they could make her into him :-)
LOL! I'm terrible at determining if people resemble each other unless they are practically twins. I can't describe someone's face to save my life if they aren't in front of me.
