Re: Redorina?!?!?

I agree with your post Brittany. Not into science fiction being interjected into this show.

Re: Redorina?!?!?

I was rewatching The Endling yesterday. I think the scene when Red meets Nira in the mobile ER supports the idea of Redarina.

Red says, "Is there a force in the universe more powerful than a mother's love for her child?" As he says, this the curtain slides off Red's face. It's as if the veil is being lifted. And the lines Nirah says very much bring to mind what we have learned about Katarina.

I made a gif set about this. You can see it here:

Re: Redorina?!?!?

Tuxie, I looked at your tumblr site and the gifs and all I have to say is, wow, that is something.
I know you've fleshed out this theory and have really good supporting evidence. In viewing that, is it at all possible that Katarina is, I don't know, on an isolated island or hiding in plain site at a psychiatric ward? I just keep trying to look at it from all angles. Redarina really is, in  my view, the only logical theory unless we look at everything at face value. However, there's nothing at face value on the Blacklist :-)

Just curious to see what your thought process is on this. Thanks!

Re: Redorina?!?!?

Tatiana - Anything is possible. I just see the most arrows pointing toward Redarina. I have even more arrows I haven't posted yet. Still at 65% on the Redarina meter.

Alive and hiding somewhere, but not in plain sight - 15%
Hiding as Carla Reddington - 5%
Hiding as Panabaker, Madeleine Pratt, or one othe other red haired characters we've seen - 5%.
Packed in a suitcase as a skeleton - 10%

All I know for sure is that James Spader is a man.

Re: Redorina?!?!?

Tuxie400 - I agree with Tatiana that you have made a compelling case for Rederina.

For me, what is most interesting about the scene you describe and the gif, is that "veil" is moved across and over Red's face, revealing his full face, is that scene happens in a hospital (well the makeshift ICU, same thing for purposes of my favorite theory.....)

Re: Redorina?!?!?

lara1 - You are right that the medical type location does fit with your favorite theory. And there have been lots of episodes about mobiile ER's,  long-term care facillities, illegal medical facilities, and even fake hospitals in The Blacklist.

Re: Redorina?!?!?

Lara-your theory is the imposter theory and the frequent images of hospitals/medical etc. is part of that. Just wondering, because I'm swishing around all the theories, is how do you explain things that supposedly only Katarina would know?

I should probably put this post elsewhere.... I had been 100% in the imposter theory and now Redarina is really putting fissures in that idea. The only way I can visualize imposter is if our Faux Red is Katarina's brother, so Liz's uncle. Thoughts?

Tatiana - actually I have two theories.  LOL.  One is the imposter theory.  The other is that we are seeing things through the eyes of Katerina with some kind of MP or other situation going on.

Re: Redorina?!?!?

There's certainly some clues that could suggest MP. I also wonder about some kind of coma thing... it's like a dream.
I really think if you went through all the episodes with one particular theory in mind you would find things to support it and things that would conflict with it.

From watching Spader's podcast interview from this fall, it sounds like TBL is guaranteed a season 6 and that's when they'll end it. He kept on saying that they were taking very circuitous routes, in other words, a lot of what we've seen has nothing to do with the overall arc. It was a great interview.

I really feel like the writers/producers are having fun dangling things in front of us! It's kind of fun!

Re: Redorina?!?!?

Tatiana - I think virtually any theory is up for grabs - Red is Red, Red is an imposter, Red is Katerina, Red is Katerina's brother (so Dom is Dad); two Lizzies/daughters, KR alive, KR dead, etc.  A coma, a dream, an altered reality.  I've even thought from time to time that Red has had some kind of memory loss - possibly because of a traumatic event that resulted in his mind refusing to accept it.  So his truth or reality differs from others which ultimatlely explains some plot holes.  To me, none of them can be totally ruled out.  Some are more likely than others, but also we don't have all the puzzle pieces yet.

Re: Redorina?!?!?

lara, I think we were all talking a long time ago that they probably have people trolling the boards collecting the percentages of all the theories out there.
They say the have an endgame which could probably change a bit if they wanted to. They are dangling a little of everything out there.
The truth could be something very simple we are overlooking for that very reason.  It seams complicated and I am going to laugh at the end if it isn't that complicated after all.
The answers are apparently right in the beginning.  I thought what if Liz has been in a coma since they were hit by that truck?  That huge truck smacked right into her side. Every time I see an accident like that on TV I think how insane it is that someone just gets up and shakes it off.

They keep saying that the show would be over if we knew.  I say no it wouldn't, we all just love seeing the Blacklister of the week.  But if it were a coma or a dream........

Re: Redorina?!?!?

Eastcoast - They used to have a staff person who monitored the Internet and would report back on the strangest thing they'd seen each week. Dave Metzger was one such person. He was open in his interactions on Reddit, tumblr and twitter.. Since his promotion, he rarely has an online presence. Also, with their budget cuts this past year, I don't think that's a regular part of someone's job description anymore.. One of the staff infiltrated tumblr as last fall as Friendshiptothemax,, but she rarely posts. When she does, it always sounds like she's in a tizzy about getting work stufff done in time for the episodes.

Updated to say I just saw Dave Metzger post on Blacklist Exposed FB today, and Reddit last week. So he is back to doing some monitoring.

Re: Redorina?!?!?

Tuxie, I actually think I can fill in the gaps that would explain Dom and Carla (but not Red's roomate).

One question: do we know if Fitch and Fowler knew Red before the fire?

Re: Redorina?!?!?

Tatiana - It's implied that Fitch knew the real Raymond Reddington for a long time. But there's no proof he knrew him before the fire. And Fowler says she knows what happened to his family. But we don't know if she's talking about Carla and Jennifer, or some other family. Again, no way to know if she personally knew RR before the fire.

Re: Redorina?!?!?

Ok. That's even better. I'm still on my phone. I'm writing out an idea that may plug almost all of the holes to the Redarina theory and I want to see what you think if it.

Re: Redorina?!?!?

It is implied they knew each other very well for a while.  I thought they would have to of known each other when Fitch said he stole that evidence from them when he left. I took that as if they knew each other for at least a bit. But no solid proof.

Re: Redorina?!?!?

Wasn't there mention of Fitch and Red and 1990?  Was that the last time they had seen each other or when they met?  I can't remember now.  As for Fowler, did they have a direct connection?  She knew things and was dirty, but I wasn't sure how much (if any) direct contact she and Red were supposed to have had with each other.

Re: Redorina?!?!?

I believe Fitch pinned the Kursk bombing in early 1991 on Red; and orchestrated the disappearance of Berlin's daughter around the same time.  This right after Red disappeared and Carla and Naomi going into witness protection.  I think Fitch knows Red from around the time Red disappeared.  We don't know about the fire, but I'd be willing to say that Fitch did know Red from back then, from his navy/spy service.  But we are never really told.

Re: Redorina?!?!?

We do have Cooper and Stratos but I cant think of anyone else right off top of my head right now.
Oh, and the woman in Lady Ambrosia who had been a spy. She knew him as soon as he walked in the room.

Posted some ideas/questions on the other board if anyone is interested. Dark themes/ideas though.
