Re: Season 4 DVD/Blu-Ray Out 8/15

lara1 - I know what you mean about never knowing what to think about the cut scenes. I do find them intriguing though.

Honey West - I like your line of thinking in #20 about the memory wipe being the possible Hobson's Choice.

Eastcoast - I'm glad you got to see the gif sets. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your thoughts about the fire memories.

The more I thought about it the more sense it made that this could have been the difficult choice that he made. Alive and aware of each other, both would have been doomed as their enemies would have hunted both of them down. And "Katarina"'s words about Red making the right choice and by saving Masha he saved her, make more sense to me. But from what Dom said, the choices that Red made backfired, so maybe in the end Katarina was lost anyway. I don't know, it was just some idle speculation on a Sunday afternoon after reading the Daniel Knauf interview, which was very good, by the way! "Boggled", heeheehee!

Of course another random thought I had about memory wiping/replacing was what if Katarina's memory was also wiped and she is still alive but is totally unaware of who she once was. Her former identity "died". Whereas Masha became Elizabeth and was where Red could still watch over her, because as a child she might need more protection, at least that might be how he saw it. Dom said "they" backed out of her life to protect her, but Red, selfishly, couldn't do it. He's been called selfish more than once.

Anyway, nice to know that there is a grand plan for the story and it won't be allowed to get off track.

I keep on looking for the like button on our discussion board
I plan on looking at Daniel Knauf's interview right now. I find him to have wonderful, curious, off the beaten path kind of things to say :-)
