Episode 7.13 - Newton Purcell

One word. Glen!

Yes, I started this one. Not much else to do out here in California these days except surf the web.
Of course I won’t be back on here until much, much later. Enjoy!

Glen is a master-blaster to be sure.

Only problem is when you need Clark Middleton to save your episode - perhaps you don't have much of a plot-line to begin with.

Re: Episode 7.13 - Newton Purcell

You guys are funny!! I think we can all use a laugh these days. Newton Purell, ha ha ha ha!

I really did like that Red did help Glen get out of trouble in the end but didn't tell him. He really likes Glen, no matter how exasperating he can be at times.

Tom's box; Liz's scar. I was starting to think they'd forgotten about those things. Liz trying to find Ilya.. They did touch on a few of those story items, but they weren't the focus. The unhinged Blacklister out for revenge using a nasty gadget was a nice change of pace, too. We haven't had one quite like that for awhile.

And the little dance between Aram and Elodie. Duty, love, huh? How about $10 million smackeroos! Maybe she doesn't work for the Cabal and is just a husband murderer trying to commit the perfect crime to get $$$$!

Next week we go to Alaska, or at least a snowy location that is supposed to be Alaska. I am curious to find out what it is that makes Park go off the deep end, though.

There were other things, but I can't remember them right now.

Re: Episode 7.13 - Newton Purcell

Alaska (next week) should be the breakout episode for Agent Alina Park; at least it was heavily hinted after Park nearly rope-strangled the Purell Hearing Aid guy!
Liz didn't see Park having to take defensive measures against a strong and vicious threat; Park was initially being choked out but somehow managed to turn things around vs. Henry Purell. . . . . and Liz only saw Park rope-strangling the murderous perp.

I'm no Agent Park fan to be sure. She hasn't earned her spurs yet to replace Mozhan Marno's superb Samar Movabi but I'll step up in defense of her right here, right now!

The Purell character was still alive and kicking, Park couldn't really take the pressure off the rope for fear the desperate murderer would regain his breath and take the offense on Park - so she continued to strangulate the guy until Liz showed up, screamed out her name "PARK" "ALINA" and with 2 agents present they were able to cuff the dude.

What Liz did was over-emphasize the known fact that Park is a vicious killer in her own right. She slaughtered Red's last assistant a few episodes back, now this. But she always acted in self-defense - although when in self-defense mode, it appears Park loses her senses and is only interested in killing her opponents.

The fact Liz (the script) brought up Alaska to Park would indicate Park is going to be a central player when the team (and Red) arrive in the 50th state.

By standing up for herself and nearly slaughtering a serial killer with her bare hands, Agent Alina Park took a small step on endearment.

Re: Episode 7.13 - Newton Purcell

I must have really not been paying attention to the episode. Honey West, when did Tom's box and Liz's scar come up?

I enjoyed the Jellybean parts but couldn't get into Purrell  the sound killer.  I was surprised that Red fixed Jellybean's screw-up, didn't tell him, and then rewarded Glen's effort with that spiffy red sports car.

Park still doesn't do much for me. Maybe next week will change my mind. I always knew Elodie was trouble, but I didn't peg her as a killer till now. Aram not wanting to skydive was  pretty funny.

Liz unscrewed a vent cover (I think in the kitchen) and pulled Tom's box out of a hiding place. They had a closeup of her hands, with her scar very prominent and close to the top of the box with its little engraved whatchamacallit. I was thinking lately that I didn't remember seeing Liz's scar for a very long time. Anyway, she opened the box and it was full of money, fake passports, etc. She opened one up and it appeared to be for Agnes, with a fake name that might have been French? But a very recent photo of her. She stuffed a bunch of the money (bundles of $100 bills) into a bag, purse or backpack, can't rememer which and zipped it up. Just then, Agnes came out of her room and asked her about the box and she told Agnes that her daddy always told her to be prepared for anything. Then she said, did I ever tell you the story of how I met your daddy? And that was that. I assume that was the money she was going to use for the PI.

Re: Episode 7.13 - Newton Purcell

Thanks Honey West!  Somehow I missed the box in the vent. My cat must have distracted me, or I might have been playing online Scrabble.  I do remember Agnes coming in, and Liz saying, did I ever tell you the story of how I met your Daddy?  It seems to me Liz has been preparing to run for awhile.  I think those tunnels she let Fakerina use were part of her carefully laid bug-out plan,

Re: Episode 7.13 - Newton Purcell

That had to be something we were meant to see the way they presented it.  Her arm turned up next to the box.
I was thinking to myself that I just believe Liz can't see a resemblance!

Jellybean was the best part!  I cannot even imagine anyone else playing the part on this show.

I am not into this Aram with another bad woman.
I was kind of hoping she fell out of the plane.  I was afraid at first that she was going to hurt him.  She is really building his trust up.
I was really struggling with her having Aram with her at the gathering.  I felt like it was staged by Alter Ego or something.  I kept wondering why all these people would be ok with her having him there.

Still no mention of what Donald did to the doctors head was the fall finale.

Eastcoast - I doubt anything more will be said about Ressler scrambling memory doc's brains.  I think it was more about revenge than getting info.

Re: Episode 7.13 - Newton Purcell

I think the producers have made a total mockery of ARambo 's character, haven't they? Prolly regret not offing him and keeping Mozhan on the team.

BBB - Apparently the writers room is a lot fonder of this Aram storyline than viewers.

Well, I think everyone would have enjoyed a little look at what was going on. Donald scrambling his brain after asking some questions. That could have been a great story!

I just think they should have left him the way he was.  He use to be one of my favorite characters. There is still time to redeem him.  It just isn't working for me to see him being so gullible at this point.  Old Aram back please!
