Hello friends. Tonight's episode brings yet another doctor, medical, although perhaps not one who's very dedicated to the Hippocratic oath. They must all matriculate from the Blacklist Medical School.
In any event, hubby has to work late but hopefully he will able to join me for the live screening. Of course, working late is not the calamity it once was as hubs works from home and I am very grateful for that
Enjoy tonight's episode and I'll see you on the other side!

Thank you Tatiana!!! I hope he can join you on time tonight.
This show is one medical thing after another isn't it? Lol
IW, what kind of goodies do you have tonight?

Funniest line of the night (so far):
Dembe to Teddy: "Where's the Ice Cream?"

Park + Aram

RAMPARKA

WHAT? IS? GOING ? ON? HERE? TONIGHT?
I believe it wasn't only Teddy's Blood Sugar that spiked and threw him off of his game.
What happened to the writers tonight? This is all over the place!

What's happened to the writers so far throughout this season? I have lowered my expectations so much that I actually enjoyed the episode, although I'd much rather have Frankie than Agent Park on the Task Force. I don't like Samar's replacement at all.

RIP Agent Franky - you were a very memorable character.
As for Agent Park - I'd say she has a ton of potential
As for TBL writers - not much potential
Park came at us like right out of the blue!

The writers obviously over-indulged on Teddy's "unique" apple concoction. . . !!! lol

Eastcoast, it was a small sliver of chocolate cheese cake left from the office retirement party -- a double pleasure since my workload just got lighter now that I'm no longer the retiree's personal computer "help desk." I'm not *that* much younger, but I sit in software update seminars regularly. It's not that hard to keep up. /Whine.
I'm now cracking open a bottle of red wine!
Not sure about the show tonight. Yes, all over the place. I knew they were setting up Frankie. I don't know about Agent Park. I don't like the direction Aram's story is taking. It's not an episode I plan to rewatch.
Overall, the chemistry among the characters, other than Red and Dembe, seemed really off to me.
The preview for next week looks good! I'll focus on that!

Could be! I don't know what the problem was Did some scenes get cut? Is this a filler episode? I know that nearly anyone on this forum could come up with something better.
I do appreciate that we had a few words about Dom in the Red and Dembe dialog.

Ditto, ditto, ditto, lol
IW, that sounds very delightful! I have been on a coconut cake kick lately. Fresh strawberries with it are really awesome!!
I really liked Franky character. That reminded me of the time Mr. Vargus and Red set up NIck.
Parks was so out of the blue?
Tuxie, I decided to take an aspirin ahead of time.
Next week does look good.

Just a little overkill...

That whole Franky and Park scene just seemed so Kill Bill.

I agree re Aram. DUMP HER! NOW!!!

I meant to mention Aram
Really?
It is just too weird. Cannot get into this at all. I cant believe they didn't go back to the paper he got at the wedding. Maybe this was a filler.
I really hope this is the last season!!

I kept reading comments on here and talking with my husband and I forgot to comment :-)
My husband is so smart: he figured out that the Katarina video was just like the computer simulation and was created falsely.
I see everyone else has the same feeling about new characters. I was more than irritated they introduced Ilya at the 11th hour. Then this Katarina Rostova, Fakarina? Now they're topping it off with Frankie and Park. It just feels like they're throwing stuff at a wall to see if anything sticks.
So enough of my negativity. I kind of enjoyed the episode when I just let go of any mythology and just watched it to see where it took us.
As for new characters, I'm still trying to figure out what happened to Agent Gale.

I don't think it was my favorite episode, but it wasn't bad. One of those where you just have to watch it and not try to analyze it too much.
I also don't like where they are taking Aram. Why would he ever say he thought he might be replaced by a new person? That comment seemed out of character. And his relationship with Elodie. I don't know about that. She's obviously got some real problems and dragging Aram into her housebreaking escapade for the thrill of it also seemed out of character for Aram.
I was frankly disappointed with how they wrapped up Frankie's character. They create what could be a complex, interesting person and then just write her off as a money greedy opportunist who is stupid enough to think she can sell out Red and get away with it. Even if it had really been Katarina, she would have been killed for what she'd done because you can't have a dangerously disloyal person like that working for either side. Oh well. I still haven't quite forgiven them from blowing up Alan Alda all those years ago.

Honey West - I agree that Frankie was a wonderfully complex character. I was much more intrigued by her secrets than Pakr's. I don't give a flip about what happened to Park in Anchorage. But then I never liked Samar as much as I liked Meera. I did enjoy seeding Tadashi and Vontae again.

A toast to Combat Nurse Franky - what a wonderful television arc. Going from basically a small cameo as a nurse administering meds to our fair-haired hero (Red) to a valiant exit - perceived as being greedy for money when, in fact she was pushed into a strange corner and essentially used to validate Agent Out of Nowhere (Park) as a member of the task force for the final 10 or so series episodes.
Good work Natalie Paul - maybe you did get a part in another series?
