Re: Fall Hiatus Discussion, Season 4

Ditto! Glad you're alive and online!

Looking forward to tonight. I've been off this week and working hard on annoying house repairs (fixing holes in walls from poorly done shelves, cleaning sink drains, and spot painting several wall stains), so I'm looking forward to some TV. Big Bang Theory is back tonight, too, I think. If not, it's next week.

Re: Fall Hiatus Discussion, Season 4

Hi all,

I re-watched the last couple of episode of the current season to prepare for tonight!

Two things I still don't understand:

1.  With all of the emotion around the mid season finale, I forgot that Kirk, despite thinking he was Liz's father, actually did some pretty mean things….like putting Liz's and AGnes's lives in constant danger, separating Agnes, a newborn, from her mother, and blackmailing Liz that to see her again she would have to get and keep Reddington out of her life.  Plus, he at least considered using Agnes for his "cure". He also acted pretty mean on the boat, he shot the fisherman and then tried to blame Liz for his actions making him do so...etc

At one point, Red says to Liz that they were at cross purposes about Kirk, that he was an evil man, something like that.  So I wonder if there really was something more to it all that made Red uber-desperate to get to him. (Or maybe its just that Kirk is the real "selfish prick"  LOL) In the end, Kirk wasn't really intent on harming Liz - she was Katarina's child after all…..makes me wonder whether he will be back at some point in the future...

Also there was so much pointing to Kirk actually being Liz's father it does make me wonder whether he really isn't and Red for some reason has some kind of plan to keep him away from Liz that relies on telling Kirk that he is not her father.  Though that would require a lot of real time faking of tests…. Although probably not LOL

2.  I know that Elise was the "mole" and enabled the Thrushes to gain access to Post Office systems.  Maybe I just don't have the required technical background, but I don't see how a hack of the systems would result in a kind of "mike" to pick up discussions in the Post Office, including in Harold's private office.  Phone, computer and other communications, yes - but a bug or series of bugs to pick up in person conversations?  Maybe that was the person that we will find out about tonight.

Tatiana - welcome back!!
