Iowa Watcher - Spader made a comment on his Today Show appearance about the survivors going on to Season 7. I think Red's rampage will continue for several episodes.

Anyone notice Dembe gulp a bit (in the dark shadowy light) when Red mentioned what happens to those who aren't 100% loyal?
On a more positive note - no pills and/or injections for Old Red tonite!

And Al Sapienza, a dirty criminal cop (HR) from CBS's brilliant Person of Interest managed to survive Red's wrath tonite!

Basically, anyone whose contract didn't get renewed is going bye-bye.
I'm not going to get emotionally caught up in all this as I have in the past.
I forgot which college, but some engineering school came up with an algorithm that can predict which "Game of Thrones" characters are going to get killed off in this last season. It would be interesting to use that program on TBL!

I knew Smokey's days were numbered even before he got caught lying during Railroad Ronny's interrogation. Simple fact without algorithm - why was Smokey in an episode where zero logistics were required?
The quandary explains the result - made even more gruesome by NOT showing Smokemeister being pushed out the cabin door from 20,000'
Also, the actor playing Smokey was definitely not interested in showing any nuances, sweat or fear - he was relatively stoic - he knew his time was up and mailed in the balance of his performance!

Luck Be A Lady would have been the perfect song for this episode.

Yes. You can see that Dembe is Not ok with the way Red is handling this.

I was thinking, if Kats mother is still alive, that could be why Red said Dom always had a reason to walk out the door. But, since she is apparently remarried, it could be why he said he felt like Red killed his whole family.
I wonder why her mom had to disappear? He was an agent, but that happens.
So much to think about.

I'm amazed at how every episode this season manages to shock me. This was one of the darker episodes regarding Red's character and it's sad to see Smokey go. I wonder which other associates he'll go after. Al Sapienza's guest role was nice and I hope to see him return at some point. He was great in POI and House of Cards.
I was kinda surprised by the return of Janet McNamara. She was captured by Marcus Caligiuri from the Shell Island Retreat in season 3, episode Mr. Gregory Devry (no. 95). I don't really see the point of her return yet, but it's always nice to see some old characters again.
Ressler's search for Katarina seems to finally provide some long awaited answers, and it will be nice to get to know Katarina's mother.
This week's blacklister case was well-written. It had mystery, great dialogue and some edge-of-your-seat tension. The twist at the end with Moira taking over the business was also well found.

I think anyone in Katarina's family was a target who might be tortured or killed to get to her. We now know she was being pursued by Russan Spetsnaz agents, the Osterman Umbrella Co., the CIA and the Cabal.
It's very possible Dom and Kat's mother were never married, much like Katarina and RR.

It was surprising to see Janet McNamara again. I think they were using her character to try to balance Red's darkness with the light of caring about someone he put into hiding. It also showed Janet as being very happy with her new life on the West Coast directing an arts program. That made me think of Samar in hiding and Liz's grandmother.
I thought the Blacklist case was an interesting one: an old woman on a warped, deadly mission who saw her objective as doing a kindness to victims. It made me think of all the avenging angels-type Blacklisters we've had doing this: The Good Samaritan, The Deer Hunter, The Invisible Hand, and Anna-Gracia Duerte.
I wondered if the twist at the end with Moira taking over her parent's business was foreshadowing Liz taking over Red's business someday.

Yeti, when I first saw her I thought he was going to ask her the same question about turning him in. 😟
I wonder if he is going to end up killing Heddie too?
Tuxie, that could be that they were not married.
I thought Moira taking over was Very Creepy!!
I think she knew about her moms business because of the way they were talking. I wasn't sure I believed her when she spoke to Liz and Ressler. Her taking over showed me she was a very good liar!

Dembe is definitely exhibiting cognitive dissonance!

I think that was underlined by Samar's situation. And it was even said in Cape May when Katarina said she had to give up her child because she "was death to her".

Glad I have a more simple life! Samar was smart in my opinion when she decided against having children and bringing them into the world she choose live in.
I've also been wondering since last night seeing that Katarina's is still alive, (we have to see) and Red said his mother is dead, if this is going to eliminate one of the theories and narrow it down for us who he could be?

Good point, Eastcoast, about the mothers. What if Red's mother is "dead to him"? LOL! Just had to throw that out there. Even though he was saying those things earlier to Aram by that open grave, we've seen that dead isn't necessarily the same as being the body in the grave.
So I wonder if the Katarina flashback story happens because of what Ressler finds. I'm thinking probably.

HW, I know. Lol. That's what I've been thinking about since last night. Then I think about how serious he sounded with Aram.
If he lied, I think that's as horrible as saying her mother is dead if she isn't. Just my humble opinion of course...

I thought of that too. But we’ve seen Red fooled by a grave before - one that had Elizabeth Keen’s name on the tombstone. Is it possible Dom or someone else helped Kat’s mother get a new life and faked her death, but Red never knew? This certainly raises a question mark for me on the mother theory, but it doesn’t kill it. I’d need a bit more to put a tombstone on the Redarina theory.
