Well, BBB, the bosses have said if they reveal everything the show's over, so not too surprising how little they do reveal. They're not ready to end it yet.
Tux, Red has always had a little oddness to his gait, but I attributed the more recent to, well, how to put it, a little extra weight. (not being judgmental, only making an observation) Then again, it could also be him portraying a symptom since we know he is very thorough in his work. Or it could be a touch of bursitis, for all we know. I think I saw the hand shake thing, too, but I thought it was in another episode. But, soon I will have more time again to do re-watches and such! Yay! Then I can get back into the discussions again. One thing I've always noticed is that Red is portrayed as having a definite lean to the side thing going on. Right from the beginning. JS doesn't do that when he's on other shows being interviewed, so I think it's a definite Red mannerism. I had thought that maybe it's something left over from when he was burned, but now that we get into this brain stuff, I wonder.

I just wanna commend Blacklist producers, directors & writers for 'borrowing' a technique used on the greatest TV show in TV history - CBS's 'Person of Interest'. Its the final scene - with Aram in front of a surveillance camera hidden (with his knowledge) in his own home. The screen boxes up (like Person of Interest) and Aram has a conversation with the A.I., essentially chiding it to forget about him leading him to Samar, so they can execute her! Wonderful borrow from a most wonderful show!

That was reminiscent of POI and A.I.

Honey West - Your thoughts on Red's possible manifestations of illness was interesting. We'll have to keep watching for symptoms.

Seeding Red with an illness at this point in the show's development gives show-runners an out when it comes to closing out the series. They don't have to have Red killed off by enemies or someone (Ressler) within the Task Force. They now have a most reasonable out to finish the series . . . . DEATH BY SERIOUS ILLNESS

I did go back and rewatch, especially the scenes in the plane, but I see no hand shaking at all for this episode.
I just wonder if the drug(s) he was injecting was related to the pills since he took them together. Or could they be for two separate conditions? I guess this will be a new mystery to keep us guessing and speculating until we find out for sure.

While we wait in the nether-zone for the season finale, another musical suggestion. this time a bit personal - my friend William has a song I think you'll both enjoy - and perhaps how it might fit into a future TBL episode . . .
For your entertainment - - - - on a sideways Sunday evening - - - William Prince

I just got done with my rewatch while ago. I didn't see any hand shaking on the plane either.

I haven't rewatched yet. Maybe the hand shaking is in 6.14. I haven't rewatched that one either - too much going on in RL. Of course, maybe the fan who posted that was hallucinating. LOL

CinemaBlend's Britt Lawrence asks some pretty good questions in this article.
The main one being if Red is sick how did it get missed during his pre-execution physical?

I'm still not convinced Red IS sick. Initially my thought was he was expediting the trial by being the guinea pig for the person for whom the drug is intended, Liz or Agnes. I cannot imagine anyone else.
On the other hand, as overused as it sounds, could it be some kind of 'superpower'?
What if he wanted to get the DNA to extend his life? Be more brilliant? Become Clairvoyant?
Or even scarier, maybe he's taking some kind of potion that will change his DNA so he will be impervious to those nasty, giant, juicy humming beetles (hope you weren't eating your Cheerios, Honey ;-) )
In my wildest dreams, I wonder if he isn't going to blow up all the bad guys like a giant flood to clean out all the evil leaving Liz as the new Eve with her husband and daughter to propagate and create a new earth.
(no, I have not been nibbling on mushrooms either... but I do like to get very creative)

Hi Everyone and hope you are all well!
Am behind in reading all the great posts, as always. But never fails that I enjoy an episode, draw my own conclusions, and then come here and get excited all over again.
Tatiana, your ideas blew my mind. Just fascinating to think about!

Tatiana, luckily I was eating Peeps, not Cheerios.
But, yes, I agree, maybe the drug is eventually intended for someone else. Maybe Red IS the clinical trial.

Colleen good to see you back!
So many ways it could go. Maybe it’s part of Red's opium addiction.
