Tatiana - I can always start these threads, if you can't.

Re: Episode 6.13 Robert Vesco

This was a fun caper episode. I love its when they bring back some of these actors to play against James Spader. They must be fun to direct.

I enjoyed the parade of familiar faces at Red's party and the various helpers for the heist. And yes, Tuxie, I also loved the tenor thing with the bomb maker, Max, was that his name? Or was it Karl?

It was a nice fun story to see before we got to the much darker second hour.

Honey West - I agree the party and the heist were loads of fun. Didn't you love Liz's reaction at Red getting conned, and his wanting to mark the moment with a photo. I'm a big fan of the lighter episodes.

Re: Episode 6.13 Robert Vesco

So, when Red was being mentored by Robert Vesco, was he already pretending to be Raymond Reddington? Or was he still whoever he used to be? I'm almost wondering if his old name coincidentally happened to be Ray.

Re: Episode 6.13 Robert Vesco

Yeah, Tuxie, I loved Liz's reaction. But I thought the photo thing was odd, because I didn't think Red cared to be photographed. But then again, after the prison and trial publicity, maybe he doesn't worry about that anymore.

So, I was wondering if was really in on this at all?  Is there any possibility that is in on it so he can get his half?

Did anyone notice that Vesco used the term White Whale when he was talking to Red?

Yes, I noticed it and it make me think of Ahab and Moby Dick references.

Re: Episode 6.13 Robert Vesco

I wanted to add how much that scene with Aram and Samar in the restaurant impressed me. Both actors gave emotionally powerful performances. I love how Aram repeated those things Samar told him earlier and wanted to toast their "unimaginable love."

Re: Episode 6.13 Robert Vesco

For a mega super criminal Red is extremely lax at providing his own personal security.
Look at how easily Bastien Moreau walked into that restaurant, Dembe was also useless.
And now a near 80 yr old grifter relieves Red of the keys to Treasure Island.
Red has a blind spot.

BBB -t Yes, Red had a blind spot with Vesco. It was his affection for the man.  With Bastien Moreau, I think he was hoping the assassin would find him.

BBB, I think the same thing sometimes.  I have always wondered why Luli was never replaced?

Seeing Vesco  get PT because he has no more toes …. Future episode!

Mr. Vesco reminded me of Mr. Sinclair the way he talked about how they needed time to pull this off.  He talked just like him.

I hadn't thought about it, but you are right.
