I'm so anxious to see this episode that I went ahead and started the thread. Do you think they'll drag out the execution throughout the episode? I can't wait to hear Red's last words, if he says any.
A dark chocolate and strawberry smoothie will be my drink this evening.

2nd glass of wine & air-popped pop corn (no salt, just a touch of real butter) for me tonight. Already had a glass with dinner, so I won't yell at the TV screen and scare my cat if there are anymore black beetles.
Prediction: Red's last words will be interrupted by the sound of the phone ringing

Iowa Watcher - I'm also thinking Red's last words will be interrupted by the phone. But maybe he'll get a few words out - probably not a whole sentence. LOL

Thanks for starting us off Tuxie! We're at grandma's who is graciously allowing us to watch TBL at her house where the antenna reception is excellent.
Last words "to be or not to be..."
See you on the other side!

If the TBL form chart holds - the main action will occur in a flurry of activity - in the last 20 to 25 seconds . . .
cuz thats the way they flow . . . .

Good reminder BBB, because this beginning was very tame...

Dembe in the improv scenario - totally out of character, amazingly HILARIOUS!!!

Tatiana - I'm glad you got to watch tonight!

I enjoyed the bookend of Liz waiting at the car just like Red was after she got out of prison. Did you love the hug and Red's joyous expression?

At the beginning of that scene, I thought it was a commercial. But then Reddington showed up and disrupted the Hedbanz game. I thought Dembe was very much in character. He's always playing those games with Red and winning them. Pretty funny!

I thought Samar was going to jump too. It's sad that she's leaving the task force. I was surprised she didn't tell Cooper why. It looks like she may be walking away from Aram too.

It was a much better show than I expected!
I really liked that Red explained how the puzzle pieces together: that made it much clearer how the last several Black listers were connected. I sort of knew, but that scene helped a lot.
I also like where the show is headed a lot better. Red is out wandering around, and something will be done about Samar's medical problem, either she's off the show or they will resolve that somehow.
I have mixed feelings about the imposter concerns just being dropped, but I can see why that needs to be done if the show is going to last another season.

I think in one version of the script she might have been going to jump, but someone talked the show runners out of that or they decided to keep her around for the finale and kill her off or do something dramatic.
I just don't like her character with that severe of a brain injury. That isn't working for me in this show. They lost all of the interesting stuff between her and Aram.

I think he really enjoyed shooting that scene.

Hello Everyone!
Episode was a lot funnier than I expected - thought it was going to be heart wrenching and tear jerking. Instead we had Red joking about the phone ringing moments before death and Dembe happily playing charades with terrified people.
My favorite line was from Cooper - that he was happy Anna McMahan was the new head of the task force because of it's high mortality rate. I laughed out loud and got a frazzled look from my dog Toasty :-)
Some themes, clues, parallels - magic tricks, nuclear energy/The China Syndrome (during charades), McMahan walking into her home seeing a body (like Liz walking in on an injured Tom), Liz and Dembe meeting Red as he's released from prison (like Red and Dembe meeting Liz as she's released from prison in season 3), the dossier in a locker (like the suitcase of bones the end of season 4), Red admiring the stars like at the end of Marvin Gerard episode. There are a few more but I couldn't write them down - maybe tomorrow after rewatch. Was there a Mad Hatter comment by Red?
The song playing as Red walked out of the Post Office was a hoot. Lyric was "the old man is back!" Loved it. Thought the writers were teasing us with an anti-Redrina clue. Or not. Who knows :-)
