IowaW, I don't even drink and I might get a glass of wine next week! Lol
Edited to add, yes, I think I would like that better myself.
I did enjoy the conversation they had. We do not get to hear him talk about his past very much.

Ressler gets the award for giving the best advice this week. He told Liz:
All you have to know is he's a man who loves you very much.

Agreed! I thought that it was a very thoughtful thing to say at the moment.

Ressler realizes just how much Red loves Liz because he was the one who saw Red in ambulance after Liz "died." Res saw Red's collapse at the car.

Just what we needed - another crooked president and his accomplice/underling at the DOJ . . . . TBL writers must be reading the news?

BBB, I was thinking this guy wants Red out of the way period. I am thinking that Red will be putting this together in the future!

And that's what did it, she realized she needed to tell him before he died, "I love you"
As she told her half-sister Jennifer, I do not know who he is, but whoever he was, he's Raymond Reddington now. She's accepted him for who he is. For a man who has not really known love, to receive love freely with nothing attached, not even needing to reveal his 'true' identity, this was life changing, even if he only has minutes left to his life.

Red said his mother understood the problems of the human heart in conflict with itself.
I thought that phrase sounded familiar. It's from William Faulkner, who said, "The only thing worth writing about is the human heart in conflict with itself."

Dang, Tuxie, you sure are quick on the draw! This is excellent. My now deceased mother wrote her master's thesis on William Faulkner, great American writer. More for me to read!

Tatiana - Faulkner's character's always had complicated internal conflicts. Maybe that's what drew your mother to him.

Thank you, Tuxie. I miss her.

Red will never tell Liz his original identity, if he didn't at this point. He didn't when he was poisoned either. I'm starting to think that one of those things Red put in the box he gave Dembe is permission to tell Liz his secrets.

Any thoughts on what Red's last words will be?
Word: Lizzie.

Red's story about his mother and his childhood were so touching. And hearing Liz tell Red she loved him got me all teared up. He looked so shocked when she said it, too.
He’s waited so long to hear her say that, and I think he’d given up on hearing it.

I agree with you there, Tuxie400.

I smell the Cabal, or some players at, or above, their level. Maybe we will finally get back to the Map of Doom players?

I was wondering about that too.

So I was trying to drift off to sleep but something was bugging me. No pun intended. I thought the bug stuff took a week to work? He must have poisoned her before. And what was in the case he had?

Hey, Eastcoast, you’re up late!
