Episode 6.05 - Alter Ego

I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to tonight's episode! I have heard it is similar to Cape May and Ruin in that it does not focus on a particular Blacklister. Let's hope it gives us more backstory or insight!

Sounds like it's going to be a good episode!

I'm reheating the last of my beef stew a slice of garlic bread. I think there's at least a glass of red wine left in the bottle. I love Friday nights!

Alan Shore was always misunderstood. Maybe the court will appoint Denny Crane!

In any event - Red's court scene with Porky McPillow (cop) is exquisite!

BBB, I was trying not to laugh too loud so I could hear.  That was so funny.

Ok, so where is all the Liz and Jennifer looking into the past?  I hope they show something.

Re: Episode 6.05 - Alter Ego

Aside from the courtroom scene w/ The Judge (who was much better this week) and Ken Leung I found this episode to be in the bottom half of the episode pool. Poor direction, lack of continuity, no over-arching idea, etc. Could be one - or all - or more!
Thought the little asian actress acquitted herself quite well as a duplicitous con girl. Other than that - BLAHHHHH

Re: Episode 6.05 - Alter Ego

Funny and amusing episode and a lot of shades of lines, plots, and characters. Very interesting. I think I had my hopes up too much for more reveals. We shall see!

I am looking forward to re-watching for something I may have missed.
And I find it quite interesting that he has a new friend in this young man who worked at the bowling alley and lived in a trailer park.

o - and despite little to no script I thought Dembe's assertion of control was rather charming - and in a strange way emotional

Re: Episode 6.05 - Alter Ego

Well, this in my opinion was a filler episode. For me, the courtroom scenes were boring. and I felt sorry for Ressler having to rent a date for his cousin's wedding. The fake sister will give those suspecting Jennifer of being a plant more ammunition.

BBB - Blah was my reaction too!

Methinx by now we all know the show-runners are somewhat stingy in providing reveals or an abundance of clues. I will be shocked at any major reveals - perhaps before the final 2 episodes . . .

. . . . speaking of which . . . one would surmise there's a good chance this will be the last season of TBL

Main reason - Friday time slot. Death knell of most series - it held a prime time mid-week slot for its first 5 years. Shifting if to Friday is CLUE 1 in NBC's probably decision to cancel our favorite show. Hopefully, they have enough episodes left to bring things home!!!

Re: Episode 6.05 - Alter Ego

I have to agree. Blah episode but some nice little bits.
I kind of feel like I got all ready for a 3rd date with the hottest most excited guy even and we went to McDonald's and checked his phone for the whole 42 minutes we were there. Nice to see him, but, um, later when we can really be together ok buddy?

I agree.  I rather enjoyed that part, especially where he said he was trying to save his soul.

Tuxie, it did have a bit of a filler tone to it...

Re: Episode 6.05 - Alter Ego

The Dembe/Red jail scene was the best part of the episode.
