lara, I see what you are saying. I think with her it just goes all the way back to everything she has been through and when they show stuff like that its a hint of sorts to something else. Like the Church at her wedding when Red told her they had to go. I think that was a throwback to something when she was young and we do not know what it is yet. I have wondered if he said that to her when he kidnapped her from her mother.
That scene you are talking about with Tom walking down the hallway, wasn't he drugged at the time?
eastcoast, there was more than one scene with Tom walking down a hallway where that happened but yes one was when he started the clinical trial at Pete's place. But the more interesting one was actually when he was fleeing Garvey with the suitcase towards Red's car, there was a visual distortion, I can't remember whether it was auditory as well.

lara1 - I think the scene in Ian Garvey with Tom running with suitcase towards Red's car was only a visual distortion. I remember not knowing whether my Service Provider was having an issue or if it was on purpose.

Need to re-watch the Red the preacher sequence again within context of the whole setting fire to the cabin thing.

Remember the Madeleine Pratt episode scene where one of the armed guards has Elizabeth in a separate room and Reddington comes in doing an overacted gay spiel, enough to distract the guard and free the girl? I think sometimes James likes to do things a little off... Boston Legal and pink flamingos anyone? The preachy thing with the IRS guy was a little strange, but certainly in keeping with Spader and with his character at times.
I agree, Tatiana. That preacher thing was very reminiscent of Boston Legal. It’s the quirky little things Spader loves.
I keep hoping Lotte Verbeek will be in an episode this season so we can see KR again. But she’s currently in Poland filming a movie so who knows if she could fit it into her schedule if they were to want her back for an episode.

"You can do this, you're going to be great, ok?"'
"What?"
Aram: "I have to pee"
“Kidding. I’m totally kidding. Come on, I’m trying to lighten the mood here.”
I consider this a line to describe the whole episode. And that was a totally sweet and funny scene!!! My husband would absolutely do this.

Has anyone looked at the Canadian promo for next week on Aly’s page? Garvey says “you have no idea who I am” and then something “I want the truth”??? I can’t quite understand what he says leading up to “the truth”.
Maybe Garvey is Seaduke? And Oleander betrayed him and he’s been looking for him. And Red and Katarina got caught in the middle?
Then again, maybe not. Still doesn’t explain how the bones give Garvey power over Red.
He Heheheh!

When I first saw the title to this episode all I could think of was one of Red's reminiscences of some girl he had the hots for back in high school/college, etc. but this girl wouldn’t have even been born yet.

Well, after looking at the City promo, I guess Red doesn’t know who he is. But then again, maybe he never knew who Seaduke was either. But, wow, is this the first time Red has told someone to his face "I’m gonna kill you."

The best lines of the episode were Fagen's:
Men plan; God laughs.
and
"I need someone who sees the fire in my eyes and wants to play with it."

Honey West - Yes, from that City promo it would seem that Garvey is not someone from Red's past. But could he be someone from the real RR's? Just a weird thought. Probably of no consequence.
Honey West- it did sound like either Red doesn't know him at all, doesn't remember him from the past, or doesn't recognize him. I'm so eager to see them together next week. This suitcase/Garvey storyline has been dragged out for so long.
As for Seaduke, I just don't tend to think he's going to come up again. Maybe he will, but I'm not sitting around expecting it.

I think anyone who has the bones would have power over Raymond Reddington. Kaplan was so hell-bent on telling Elizabeth the truth that she dug up the suitcase, not just a secret but THE secret. And in usual TBL fashion, with every question answered, two more questions follow :-)

Tuxie and Lara - I think you were discussing visual and auditory distortions? Here's the scene where Liz recognizes Garvey:

How long we gone without Glen in an episode? Too long, I say!

HoneyWest - that is so funny, I thought that too! I was trying and trying to remember her name. I think it was similar, but not the same name.

Yes, I thought those were strong, deep words. And the actor playing Fagan is so good at portraying this, strong impulse yearning for expression in fire.
