Re: Episode 5.14 - Mr. Raleigh Sinclair III - Discussion Page

I too thought the acting was very very good standing by the graveside. Actually all she did was great. I hope we see her again. Red seamed to really care about how she felt. When Cooper said some people are really alone in the world I think it touched his heart because he has felt that way himself.  Maybe Red will hire her for a housekeeper?
I think she could be an interesting character.

Brittany - I was wondering when we'd get your take on the therapist. I thought she was unneccessarily hostile with both Red and Liz. In fact, with all that insistence on meeting with Red, I was starting to think she might be in league with Garvey.

I thought perhaps she was related to someone who had been killed by Reddington or something.  I found her hostility towards him to be inappropriate, even given what she knows about him.  That attitude isn't going to make Liz want to be honest with her.  People who don't feel comfortable in therapy won't open up.  Even people who do feel comfortable in therapy won't always be honest.  I've counseled child molesters, domestic abusers, and people who are openly racist and bigoted.  I may not like them or what they have done or believe, but my place is to help them be a safe, functioning member of society, not to be judge, jury, and executioner.  I hope she straightens up.

When we were in high school we did things like that. It's kind of dweebie and we like it!

Tatiana - I thought it was for RR too, but there are raging battles about it on some of the forums. LOL And in an episode about doubles, I can see why.

RR, raging battles?
I haven't had time to look anywhere yet on thoughts of this episode. Should be a hoot!

We have a 2 week break, did I actually see that correctly?

No there are two more weeks of episodes, then it looks like no new episode on 3/21.

Yesterday was a very unique TBL - mostly due to Martha Plimpton's excellent work as the "Tough Stuff" therapist and John Noble's sensational guesting as The Face-Lifter.
I loved how Reddington laid the law down with Martha on the terms of engagement with Liz. WONDERFUL MATERIAL, GREAT WRITING as Megan continues to stand up to all comers, including Spader in acting terms.

My side angle takeaway of last nite's ep - the Alternative Task Force led by Iain Garvey - the show=runners spent some quality time "PLUMPING THEM UP" for Liz B. Brutal (aka Black Liz) when the time comes for them to "FACE THE MUSIC". Wonder what song or songs the runners will use when Liz goes after the ARTF (Alternative Reddington Task Force) . . . . .  may as well get Ring of Fire warmed up - I smell somethin' burnin' . . . .  lol

Great points, B cubed (see what I did there???lol)
Megan Boone is definitely blossoming as an actress and going to lots of nooks and crannies of her character. And yes, I agree, she's able to stand next to Spader and hold her ground, Brava to her.

I like your idea of the Alternative Task Force... interesting concept and I think it will hold as we proceed.

Re: Episode 5.14 - Mr. Raleigh Sinclair III - Discussion Page

HW, I wonder if Garvey knows finding Red will lead to Orleander?  We know he had been investigated but had denied that's who he was.  So I wonder if there is a 2 fold purpose here?  We had said a while back that maybe Orleander was Reds Handler.
Another thought would be if Orleander has a reward on finding his daughters remains if of course that is who is in the suitcase.

I think the writers have left it open as to who could be in there.

HW, if they are Jennifer maybe that is what Kirk meant when he said unlike him, he wouldn't hurt his own daughter.

The statement that Kirk made to Red about hurting his own daughter has always told me he has another daughter besides Liz.

If Jennifer left 7 years prior to our meeting Naomi, then she was an adult when Red killed her if that's who is in the suitcase.  I think when Naomi said she knew he would come for her one day,  it was meant that he would look for her to see her again, But I don't think after whatever went down that she really wanted to be involved in any part of that world again.

Re: Episode 5.14 - Mr. Raleigh Sinclair III - Discussion Page

H/W and Eastcoast:  I have had the feeling that if it doesn’t end up being KR or evidence that her death was faked (like a fake KR) that it may be someone we don’t know but that Tom may know the name.  That would be very much like the BL to do something like that to us.  It could be something that links KR, Dom and Red but be someone we and likely Liz don’t know.  I have wondered about Jennifer before  but can’t figure out why she would be connected to Oleander, why Red would be asking about where she was to Carla, and why Garvey would think that such huge leverage over him.

I'm rewatching the episode too, and I just saw an actual Easter egg hanging next to Red where he first meets with Samar. I'm cracking up. I posted a photo of it on my tumblr:

R squared could be RR.  or RxR, as in another, albeit somewhat indirect, reference to doubles.

I agree that the actress who played Dolores did a phenomenal job.  She was totally believable, and I felt her connection to the homeless man and her pain.   wonderful performance.
