lara1 - You are right about Hans and the Kaplan timeline. It doesn't line up. I just looked up the script. Red says it happened 25 years ago and Kaplan saw to the disposal of Hans' body. 2017 - 25 is definitely 1992 when Red was supposed to be in hiding. You are correct that the toe tag on the body Kate was working with said 1993, before Annie's death and her first official meeting with Red. She did tell Julian Gale she'd been working with Red for 30 years. It doesn't line up, so somewhere there's an error by the writers.

Brittany, Seaduke was in 1987.

Yes! I agree. But I did have another thought on Kate that I am going to put elsewhere.

I know Liz once said she fantasized that her mother was a famous ballerina who danced for the crowned heads of Europe, but I think this is the first time that she said that she had danced ballet as a girl. And the only other time since Red's ballet girl stuff, which we thought was about Liz. Interesting.
So what if Garvey is really searching for Dom and knows that Red knows his location? Garvey is clearly playing several angles here. One as the cop searching for Reddington and also likely working for someone else who doesn’t necessarily want Red, but wants what he represents. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was a fire night participant. The thing that puzzles me the most is how Dom/Oleander is connected to the bones. And why would Kate tell Dennison about Oleander, unless that was some sort of backup code in case the bones never made it to Liz. And why are the bones a key to why Red came back into Liz's life? Red said it was due to a confluence of issues that put her in danger and he wanted to be close at hand. The bones were supposed to stay buried forever. Did they get past that earlier confluence only for the bones to maybe drag it back up,again? I don’t get a real sense of Liz being in danger at the moment except from Garvey and his thing with Red. I just wonder if we’ll get back to,the Map of Doom before this season ends. Red has clearly got some big complicated plan he’s cooking up with all of these Blacklisters he’s been gathering.
And there has to be some connection between Garvey, the US Marshall’s and Naomi and Jennifer. I’m leaning towards the bones being Jennifer.

If you see the hand of Big Bad I recommend proceeding with a mostly empty mouth!! lol

Yesterday was a very unique TBL - mostly due to Martha Plimpton's excellent work as the "Tough Stuff" therapist and John Noble's sensational guesting as The Face-Lifter.
I loved how Reddington laid the law down with Martha on the terms of engagement with Liz. WONDERFUL MATERIAL, GREAT WRITING as Megan continues to stand up to all comers, including Spader in acting terms.
My side angle takeaway of last nite's ep - the Alternative Task Force led by Iain Garvey - the show=runners spent some quality time "PLUMPING THEM UP" for Liz B. Brutal (aka Black Liz) when the time comes for them to "FACE THE MUSIC". Wonder what song or songs the runners will use when Liz goes after the ARTF (Alternative Reddington Task Force) . . . . . may as well get Ring of Fire warmed up - I smell somethin' burnin' . . . . lol

May seem somewhat callous but I found the final scene with Delores the sole attendee at her friend Kahlil SHula's funeral very moving. Kudos to the great acting of the actress who played Delores. Upon re-watch she may have been even better than Martha Plimpton or John Noble, if that's possible.
From Delores's wonderfully emotive performance to the music backdrop to the scene-staging itself - IT WAS WONDERFUL
A fictional piece causing more emotion (to this writer anyways) than the highly polished and staged Capitol staging of the Billy Graham dedication. How can this be other than with great acting and responsibility to the most minute of episodic detail.

Delores was excellent, Big Bad. Thanks for pointing that out. Iys easy to get caught up in the plot.
That moment when she reaches out for Reds hand was beautiful. I got teary eyed.
By the way, the name Delores means 'sorrowful'

This was another great episode. "We don't need therapy" sounds about as dysfunctional as they come! I'd welcome more town car therapy sessions. Loved it! I wasn't sure about Singleton, but I like that he's a good cop. Liz must have really WANTED to trust him to bring him down into the PO. And I like that Samar got to take the lead on filling him in on the Reddington Task Force. I hope in the futre it gives a little more screen time for, "Navabi, Ressler get there" to do some more work, while our adorable Aram does his thing in the background.
Side note: I just got placed on a "task force" at work and I couldn't help but feel a little badass.
Now I'm all kinds of curious what truth will be revealed next week.

BBB - I do love your monikers: the Face-Lifter and the Alternate Task Force! LOL And I agree with you about the emotion at the graveside. I was very moved by the actress and Red in the dinner scene as well..

Patter: you aren't truly a therapist until you've heard that phrase come out of a family at least three times. I happens fairly quickly in a career. ;) I'm actually working on a gif set about the therapy scenes.
I'm interested to see how the therapy sessions continue moving forward because as someone who is a direct and blunt therapist in real life, I found her attitude over the line. I know it's television and she is trying to push Liz, but she was pretty hostile towards her. We'll see if that continues.

Brittany - I was wondering when we'd get your take on the therapist. I thought she was unneccessarily hostile with both Red and Liz. In fact, with all that insistence on meeting with Red, I was starting to think she might be in league with Garvey.

I thought it was interesting Marnie, who ran the homelss shelter, called Red "R-Squared." Is that for
RR, his initials
Real Red
RR, like he's a double?
Sometimes I adore those crafty writers and how they like to play into all the fan theories.

Just as an aside I just noticed another inconsistency in the Kaplan timeline. The Hans episode, where Red arranged the fake kidnapping which went wrong, and where Kaplan was already working for Red, because she disposed of the body, as she told the story, was in 1992.
But in 1993, Kate was working in Amarillo (cadaver body tag). This was before what happened with Annie. So how does she then "meet" Red for the first time after that?
One of the writers said that Requiem was Kate's true memory, or more precisely, what she remembered as true to her. Those are kind of precise words. Is it what she remembered as her memories or reality, but not all true?
And didn't she also tell the government that she'd been working for Red for 30 years? That's 1987, before the fire (and the same year as Seaduke; and the ballet recital)
Unless I'm missing something, that all doesn't line up. ?
Well, it could be as simple as Kate losing a lot of her memories after her traumatic brain injury when she was shot with Annie. Maybe what Kate remembered about things is the best she could manage to piece back together, with or without help possibly from Red. And when she met with him years later to go to work for him it was like she was starting all over again. That could explain Kate’s inconsistencies of times and events.

Actually, I took it at face value, RR for Raymond Reddington.
When we were in high school we did things like that. It's kind of dweebie and we like it!

I have been putting extra effort into trying to be sure I'm not chewing any food when I'm reading. But once in a while I get laid back and then it happens! Lol
I go far enough back to remember the cheerios comment on the other board.
BBB, you must try this stuff. I like to put it in the freezer for 15 mins before I eat it.
Del Monte Fruit Chia, im hooked on it! Blackberry pear and peach with dragonfruit are the 2 i get. The other ones have pineapple it it and although it's good, it's like chewing something and chewing and chewing....... until you realize thete is no end and must rid yourself of it.

Brittany - It was a really weird portrayal of a therapist/psychologist. I saw it several ways:
1) they had to make her over the top bad ass because Liz has been completely unrealistically able to be reinlisted in the FBI. I know it's a suspension of reality and that happens in tv, but it defies even tv logic. 2) It shows how despicable Raymond Reddington is that even a therapist would tell him he was so horrible; 3) writers wanted us to believe for at least a moment that she was on the side of the dirty cops; 4) we needed to see how Liz the profiler wiggled out of this and how she justified working with Red.
It defies logic that the therapist would accuse Liz of being like Red because she's his genetic daughter (presumably). It's ancient biblical belief, the sins of the father cast onto generations to come. But that's also consistent with some of the themes of this show.
I also think it shows that therapists/psychologists are human and have normal human reactions.
I was an addictions counselor in one of my other 9 lives and I counseled many different individuals. People who were victims of horrific abuse and people who committed abuse against another. Cons and crack addicts. And even a man who bludgeoned his wife to death. The one that horrified me the most was the man who said he'd had a relationship with his sister for several years before she rejected him... at age 14. And he called me while he was hiding in the bushes at his ex-girlfriend's house with a gun. I don't know if people like that ever get well.
