BBB: HA! Black Liz . . .
Great posts, all! Nothing new to add at the moment. I need to do a rewatch on Friday.

lara1 - The reason I didn't notice Garvey's watch was because I thinking "Who wears glasses in bed?" and wondering about his bed partner moving in the background. Apparently he feels comfortable enough to mention Reddington in front of said bed partner. And I was noticing the ring again.

I missed the bed partner in some way. However, Garvey's look reminded me of the Apothecary from last season. Not sure if it means anything, but the bed partner would contribute to that comparison.
I like how the writers are paying more attention to continuity now. They finished Prescott's story and we even learnt what has happened to Brimley during Red's conversation with Isaacson. (Still hoping he's coming back though)

On another site, Susanne Hinkle Patterson sharpened and blew up Garvey's ring. The insignia on the side proves it's a Navy ring!
Is that on Tumblr? I'd love to see it.

Tatiana - Susanne posted it on her facebook site, Blacklist Clearing the Red Tape and on the Blacklist Exposed FB sit.

Tuxie400 #82 - well I jumped on the watch right away because we normally see clocks (alarm clocks) in those types of scenes and the watch strap resembled that of Red’s watch. And he said he once left a Philippe Patek watch (I think) somewhere - he said with a smile, the implication being it was somewhere like a bed stand. ( if I’m remembering that correctly). 😉

Yeti - Garvey's undershirt was just like the Apothecary's, and you're right that he had a bed partner too. LOL
lara1 - Yes I do remember Red's lost watch story from the Miles McGrath episode.

Thanks, Tuxie, I hadn't remembered that watch reference as being that recent. Also as I recall didn't someone find it and return it to him, a contact of Red's whom he uses for help, I think, later in the season.
Not sure why my memory of Season 4 is so foggy! I guess I've had more time to re-watch the previous seasons!

lara - The Patek watch was only mentioned in the Miles McGrath episode. In the past, Red had hired Johan Halbeck, and ex-SEAL and his crew to retrieve the watch left at the scene of his "dalliance." Halbeck was working for McGrath on two operations for McGrath - taking down a power station at the beginning of the episode and later robbing a train. On the train operation, Tom went undercover with Halbeck as his boss.

Should Spader bolt - the only spinoff I can envision is one where Liz stars as Black Liz - a fully formed master criminal who embodies shapes and pieces of her mentors (Tom, Red, Dembe, Rostova, Aram, Ressler, Glenn, Harold, Samar, Meera, etc.) and rules criminal enterprise. She's basically enlisted Scotty Hargraves and her organization to carry the water, uses the post office to legitimize her enterprise (like Red) and brings in an amazing array of criminal minds to fulfill her purpose. Begs the main question -
WHATS HER PURPOSE?
BBB-I'd watch that. I love this Liz.

Meek - Timid Liz vs. Black Liz - no question who the superior character is. Not even close!

Back story a little hard to follow. What was in the fog that caused all the club dancers to foam at the mouth? Is that connected to the terrorist who switched the suitcase? Was boss lady going to Newark the judge who jumped out of the window? Did tattoo girl complete her job and get all the names for the bank accounts? IS SHE GETTING A NEW TATTOO?!?!?! I REPEAT, IS SHE GETTING A TATTOO?!?!?! I got a little confused after the guy turned himself in and boxes of documents were carted into the Post.
Main story lines were great. Glad they cleared up Prescott and Ressler, and I do get the feeling Red sees Ressler as a friend, not just someone who assists him in building his empire.
Liz is fun to watch! However, I thought it was a little cheesy how she went from unconscious for a second and got all wide-eyed and revived into ass killing Keen the next. I wonder if this is the showrunners way for her to use her memories to fuel her own fire or activate the "warrior-gene" if that's even still a thing?

Patter - the fog I believe was nerve gas. It was a little hard to follow the plot, but within Jodi Walker's review there's a nice (and tongue in cheek!) summary of the plot. Although, I don't know whether we ever found out what happened to the account list. Maybe that was all implied.
I also wondered about that memory thing when Liz was choked by the guy. I actually thought for a moment it was imagined and then realized it wasn't....it's like it was her trigger for a burst of energy to get the guy away form her.
BBB - I also prefer this LIz. I recently re-watched Season 1, which I hadn't for quite a while, and was kind of re-surprised at how different Liz was in Season 1. She was running around killing people when needed. Then from 3b onwards the got much softer and more conflicted or something. I also think Megan is a physical actor, meaning she is good at angry and fight scenes. Like with Tom in Season 1.
Tuxie400 - thanks for the watch info. I could have sworn that Red mentioned to someone later in the season a thanks for having found the watch, or almost found it - it was either lost again or Red gave it away. LOL I am now writing my own plot lines! thanks for that info.
I was thinking the entire thing was contrived by Red as a "test" for Ressler. But why did he even need to test him? I'm wondering if Red figured that REssler was getting in deeper and deeper and since it was a threat to Red, Red wanted to contrive a scenario where he could control what was happening to his best advantage. Maybe.....

Patter - I agree the Blacklist case and Red's involvement were hard to follow. I'm sure the tattoo girl did her special tatto - even though we didn't see it on screen.
I wonder if the dolls could have been a toy of Agnes’s? My daughter has nesting dolls and still loves them at almost 8. It sort of satisfying to take them apart and put back together again. And a lovely acknowledgment of her Russian heritage.

Brittany - This is the third doll we've seen this season. The Russian stacking doll make me think more of those in Red's Bethesda flat and the ones Katarina buried in the time capsule.
Yeah, there was Agnes' doll on the floor in the first episode, then the doll that Garvey sniffed (I hope she got therapy), and now the nesting dolls. Symbolic of childhood/innocence. I hope it means we are going to get information about Liz's early years. But I also like to think this doll is a little emotional connection for Red to Agnes. I feel deprived of seeing them spend time together. lol

I thought that when Liz was being choked by Navarro that she faked losing consciousness to get him to drop his guard so she could fight back better. She tricked him.
I didn’t catch the Russian dolls. Very good. I think everyone who visits Russia comes back with some of those. I have a set from St. Petersburg. Only I got nesting cats instead of people. they had nesting dolls of everyone from Putin to Kobe Bryant.
