I cannot find where someone brought up KR really being Carla/Naomi. I have also seen that theory in other places. So I have been giving it some thought as I do all theories but cannot make Jennifer fit. We did not see her living with KR and Alexander? Anyone have a thought on this?

Well, when I saw Mato, I saw doubles of a lot of things in Masha's bedroom. Including, I believe, little seats by the fireplace (I might be misremembering that). Also I think the tea set and dolls around the table were set up for three - maybe two little girls and a guest? But in any event, two of various types of toys (not duplicates, just 2 - like 2 horses). Also wasn't there a photo that we commented on at the time, with two girls in it? When Liz picks up the photo of herself on the swing, from the fireplace mantel, there is another photo with KR, maybe with cookies or something? was there another girl in that photo? I can't remember, exactly. Anyone else remember that photo?
however, in Requiem, we saw only one twin bed, against the wall by the door. We didn't see another one, but I suppose there could have been one elsewhere in the room that we weren't shown. But I don't think there was one.
I don't know if Jennifer fits into all of this, but that is a good point. If Carla/Naomi is/was KR, and Jennifer is older than Liz, wouldn't she have been at the summer palace too? I don't believe Carla is KR, but regardless, its a good question to ask....

I remember that photo. I only saw one girl. I do not think she is either but I did maul it over.
I think it is normal to have extra settings for tea. My daughter use to have all four sides set just in case someone stopped by for tea. lol

I didn't think it strange to have two dolls sitting at the table with the tea set. Little girls like to sit their dolls around the table and pretend they're drinking tea with them. It was obvious Masha liked horses because actually she had four of them. Two plastic ones on a shelf, a stuffed one up against the back wall, and a wooden one on the window sill. What I found unusual was that she didn't have any rabbits in there. Her room at the Summer Palace didn't strike me as a room for two girls. I took the other photograph to be Katarina with Masha at about age 4.
Didn't you ever have two of something? I know I did. Maybe you couldn't make up your mind which color horse you liked better, and an indulgent parent or grandparent would buy you both.

eastcoast - wow those are some amazing coincidences! funny how TBL follows us around sometimes in real life! I am glad though that you did not find a skeleton in the suitcase! LOL
So, I went back to see the suitcase and it was gone! Was sold an hour or so before I got there...

Eastcoast - LOL. Maybe Red found it after all....

Lol!! I needed that laugh!
Well, let me put your mind at ease. I got a whole story about how they came in and bought a bunch of antique suitcases to store clothes in.

so here is another retro item hiding in plain sight.
Kaplan's vintage trailer - was it an Airstream? I'm not sure exactly but if so that would be a kind of play on Red's Gulfsteam , LOL
Anyway, here is Kaplan driving all around the country in a vintage trailer to collect her dead bodies. Something that again, is slightly "off" yet we accept that she has a maybe 1950s trailer that she is driving around. Wasn't that slightly odd, when you think about it? OK the whole thing was odd, but really, a vintage trailer? hmmmm

lara1 - Those trailers like Kaplan's are called Airstream. I was out of state last summer for almost a month, and when I came back home, my nextdoor neighbors had one exactly like Kaplan's in their backyard.. Theirs was a used one from the 90s. Silver Airstream trailers are still sold today, and they never changed their design much. But I do agree Kaplan's looked retro.

Tessatbltheorist has a tumblr page.
Back on the old board I wondered if Carla couldn't be Katarina
Tessa picked up on thus and fleshed out a theory. She recently returned to it to see how it fits in the current storyline.

thanks Tuxie400, for confirming Airstream. I remember seeing a show on HGTV or similar, that was about how people purchase the originals and renovate them. Its interesting that they still manufacture a similar model.
Thus "Airstream" may be a play on Red's "Gulfstream" jet, or maybe a parallel. Or not.

I still see plenty of those around so I did not see anything odd about it myself.
Airstream / Gulfstream, Good one, lol

Back to the upside down images. In Season 2, three upside down images preceded Red getting shot and Liz shooting Connolly and becoming a fugitive.
This season we've had three upside down images: the doll, Ressler and Samar seen in a glass tabletop in The Informant, and now Reva in this episode. I can see this all preceding Red being shot or fake killed and Liz being charged with a crime. In Season two she was filmed between iron bars a couple of times (once in Braxton II when she is with Orchard in the restaurant. I can't remember the other time.) This season, as I previously noted, she was filmed between bars in Greyson Blaise and The Travel Agency.

Fleeting thought - do you think she will 'kill' Red like she killed the Director consistent with the parallels we've been getting all season and last as we come to the end?

I'm having trouble following this question. Red, not Liz, killed the director in Season 3 by dropping him off a plane. I think the parallels will be with Season 2 when we got reveals about fire memories. Whether Liz's "crime" turns out to be killing Red, Garvey, or even Navarro, I can't predict. I just keep thinking Fagen and Sinclair were acquired to help Red fake his death. These are all just crazy predictions based on parallel images and my spidey sense.

Meant to say Tom Connolly, definitely not the director. Sorry about that.

I agree Tuxie. I think there is a good chance that could happen. I've also wondered if Fagen and Sinclair would be used to keep Garvey and Liz apart (make Liz think she has the real Garvey while Red has him or whatever). What I thought was interesting was Red talking about Liz maybe forgiving him after everything is over. Surely he doesn't think Liz will forgive him if he keeps the secret that was part of why Tom got killed and prevents her from getting justice for Tom on her own terms (even killing him herself). Which I think could lend itself to more of the idea that he doesn't intend to be around after it's all over and her forgiveness won't matter because she'll think he's dead.

Liz has a track record of forgiving some pretty big things - Red killing Sam, Red putting Tom in her life. Red not telling her he's her father He's already told her his goal is making sure she doesn't find out the secret, retrieving his "item" and killing Garvey. I think maybe Red believes she might forgive him., if she doesn't learn the secret If Liz gets to the bones and discovers the secret before Red gains possession, I think he plans to stage his death. Whatever the secret is, he can't deal with her finding her finding out the truth. He would rather disappear than face her. At least that's my take at this point.

Well JB has said that whatever it is will dramatically alter the course and direction of the series. Of course, various of the creators have said that before. somehow I never find it as dramatic as all that. Still, it will be interesting to find out where they take this.
I wonder if we'll see Dom again before the season is out. I hope so, especially since he was brought in on the suitcase mystery. Liz going to see him once and not knowing he is her grandfather and learning he is Oleander from his conversation with Red isn't much to go on.
