Ventingblacklist made a gif panel that clicked Liz's impulsive decision to marry Tom while hanging around the cemetery for me....Red's reminder to 'seize the day' whenever he's at a funeral.

The Blacklist theme music that plays right at the beginning where Liz goes to the crime scene where they find Nik - that sort of haunting melody has been played before. Wondering if anyone keeps track of the music or would remember in what other scene it played? I think it may be another pivotal scene but I can't for the life of me remember where.

Brittany - I think Ventingblacklist's connection between Red's seize the day comment and Liz's cemetery reaction makes sense.

Maybe it's one of Dave Porter's original pieces.

Brittany - thanks for sharing the gif panel. The members of this fandom put together some really creative and at times beautiful montages....I always stop to appreciate them because people do take so much time out to pull them together.
There's a line of thought out there that the cemetery connection goes back to whatever Red said to Liz in the cemetery that we didn't hear, after he glanced at Tom. And Liz went all cool toward Tom and then went to visit Meera's grave. That Liz has been playing Tom like in Season 1 when she went all impulsive on renewing their vows. That it will lead up to some sort of showdown, as it lead in Season 1 to finding out about Tom's fake brother. I'm not sure there's enough on screen to support that idea, so I'm not convinced, even though we have seen so many parallels to Season 1. But its out there. And Liz did go very cold on Tom in that scene.
I do think the re-marriage was a parallel however. Whether its to their "marriage" in Season 3 or the renewal of their vows in Season 1, we'll find out, I guess. Just some food for thought.

Thanks Tuxie400. I know I have heard that music before in another scene. Its bugging me that I can't remember it. LOL

Some new Observations
I re-watched tonight and picked up some interesting things that may mean - nothing! LOL, or a link to the Red/KR, Liz/KR. Red/Liz story or any combination thereof. (You know I'm going to throw the "2 girls" theory in here somewhere LOL) So here goes:
Calvin (another Blacklister relative whose name begins with a C or K) wakes up to a clock radio (like in the pilot) which has a WATCH next to it and a photo of two little girls and what looks like a black and white DOG.
It actually looks like a BULLDOG.
We find out later that Calvin as a MEMORY LOSS issue due to a brain injury. He has no short term memory and relives things from 30 years ago.
His wife, Eleanor has light RED hair.
He makes comments about time as he heads to work, but not before working on a CROSSWORD. Whose two main clues are "Burial Place" (Grave) - how many of those references have we seen and to boxes in the ground - and "Death Notice". Ditto reference pilot.
To the left of the crossword is what looks like commentary on a CARD GAME of BRIDGE (another link to pilot), the first card listed is QUEEN of diamonds
He drives a 30 year old car with a license plate that begins 36Y
He drives to a remote FARM with a RED BARN and SHOOTS and KILLS the man there, who is working, chopping wood with an AXE in front of a RED TRACTOR (red car in pilot)
One of the persons killed by the travel agency in 1987 is an anti-glasnost Russian businessman.
When the Task Force get to Calvin's house, they find a clothes closet with LOUVERED DOORS with an ESCAPE ladder that leads to an ATTIC
As LIZ looks at the wall of the attic, it is strongly reminiscent of Tom's WALL of CLUES. While they look at it Liz comments on how the WIFE had NO IDEA. And now the wife was making her husband kill all the agency members and HE has no idea
The two sisters are killed in 1989 and one is named SAMantha. They die locked in the car (box) due to LACK OF OXYGEN - cue the Director and Liz in the post office red box.....
Eleanor kills her husband due to him putting the life of the girls in danger, resulting in their death. And the death of the FATHER and the MOTHER.
thoughts? hmmm
EDITED to ADD the stuff I left out: Calvin is living in 1989; there are two white stuffed rabbits (as in fire house) at the girls' grave. When Calvin looks at the TV the news is playing on the fall of BERLIN.
Red's comment about how he wants the bones to be lost to the "sands of time" - hourlgass reference.

Some other random stuff I saw in the episode:
2 instances of chessboard floors (I think there were three actually but can't remember the third one! LOL)
The numbers 30 and 12 are mentioned repeatedly, as references to years
Red states that phentonol is as deadly as SNAKE venom
Parallel dialog - Red states that Camus is a celebrity..... "he is to me" as in Cape May, "it is to me" re the locket.
Interesting scene with Pete's girlfriend when she is on the phone to Tom from Pete's office - looks at the photo of Pete, his wife (long reddish brown hair) and a daughter wearing a RED dress and comments to Tom on what kind of man does that. Might just be an ironic comment to tom, but maybe more given the wall of clues in the attic...lol
There may have been a couple others I left out from my post last week.....

one further thought on 107 ad 108 above. there are some who are theorizing that Liz is totally playing Tom with the impulsive wedding scene, and that her reasons seems a bit forced and unconvincing the way she says it. I don't know about that, but is it possible that the wall of clues in the attic - where first the wife had not idea what the husband was doing and now the husband has no idea what the wife is going - as Liz says this - is a clue, along with the comments of Pete's girlfriend to Tom as she sees the photo on Pete's desk of his "fake" family, pointing to it? My own view is that they point to something in the past, fake marriage etc. which may either be KR/Kirk or Red/Carla but that is probably me just wearing my "fake marriage" glasses LOL

Lara1 - Great observations!
Also at the beginning of the episode, Calvin talks about what defines "late" and "on time." Clearly ex-military!

lara1 - Lots of comparison themes in this episode. You found a ton of them! I couldn't add any to these.

Laocoon - hi there! nice to hear from you. I picked up the time references you mention but didn't link them to military. Great observation!
