So do we think the guy who threatened Pete's girlfriend and then spied on her and Tom is working for Oleander or someone else?

I just had another thought about the point of the wedding. Could this show be turning into Four Weddings and a Funeral (Tom's)?
Tuxie #61- I haven't quite decided. I tend to lean towards Oleander, though I'm not entirely sure what the purpose of getting the girlfriend to back off would be. It could Pete trying to get her off his tail. I even wondered if the man could be working for Red, trying to cut Tom off from any connections he might have in his attempt to find out the truth. But I don't know that Red knows about Pete, which would nullify that theory if he doesn't.

Could be - they have had the three weddings part!

There was the original Keen wedding before The Blacklist started, the renewal of vows wedding in Season 1, another wedding in Season 3, although not completed, and now this one is the fourth.

If Oleander is the big bad, then he could be working for him. Pete could be as well.
I still think Pete logging into CODIS with Liz's ID triggered a security protocol and someone from within the FBI or the intelligence services was alerted. The connection with Oleander, I don't know.....
There could be two things at play - Oleander or whomever knows what the bones are and their value; and maybe a person at intelligence services trying to work to the opposite effect. So there could be a twist with two sides playing against each other, apart from Red. LOL

I suppose there could be two other parties getting involved in the suitcase stuff.
What did you think about the info that Pete was not married. I wonder if that's a parallel somehow to Red and Carla?

Tuxie400, did I miss a wedding? LOL. So they were married two years before the series started, then legally annulled/divorced (can't recall which). Then married (almost) in Season 3 after the pregnancy. Which one did I miss? LOL. I am sleepwalking.

Tuxie400 - Oh I see you are counting the renewal of vows. That is one too many weddings! haha
Interesting thought on the "fake marriage" complete with fake photos and kids. Could be a parallel to Red/Carla.

lara1 - Don't you remember the renewal of vows wedding in Season 1? That's where Tom's fake brother came into the picture.

And back to Liz and Tom - their original "wedding" or marriage was a fake.......maybe that parallel to Red is being knitted together through Pete's story and the fourth wedding.....

Brittany #49 - there's an imposter theory that "naval officer" REddington is a completely fabricated identity done by the intelligence services. I won't go into the clues that may point to that, but its then possible that there was a real Raymond Reddington whose identity was taken and totally re-fabricated.
I tend to think two options: either the identity was completely fabricated, but no "real" Reddington ever existed; or, there was a "real" Reddington and Red is an imposter of that person. But I don't think a "real" Reddington who was not a naval officer ever existed. LOL
Brittany and Tuxie400- good observations on the wedding and the parallels too, I hadn't put that together.

Tuxie, I thought the same thing. Lol

It was a red barn but I'm not to sure it was the one we were hoping it would be.
Lots of parallels.
I thought it was interesting that Tom said family secrets always come out.
Now I'm not sure about Pete. This can go both ways of course.
I got a better look at his fingers and I do believe they are missing! We don't Know for sure Pete killed Nik like Tom is thinking, but he doesn't know about the man who visited his girlfriend yet or who he is. I guess he will soon because her days are now numbered.
It just Seams that since he is injured the way he is and changing his appearance that maybe he was attacked. Just because he was in jail for fraud and lied about being married doesn't mean he killed someone. Not to say he don't have problems.... but I was wondering if that was meant to throw us off about him? If he is using his girlfriend's name to get credit cards and cash I am thinking he has to be hiding. Just a thought.

I meant to say, they look like his fingers are sliced off.
It looked like he had his thumb and most or all of his index finger. If he had hurt them moving Nik, it would Not look so straight.

Well, there was their first wedding in 2011? then their vow renewal in season 1, then their shotgun wedding when she was 18 months pregnant, and now they've been married by the justice of the peace. I'd say you're about right!
And, I'd say this show is mired in soap opera a bit too much for my liking. I still think it's an excellent show and I stilll think if they had ended it last season, I would have been disappointed, but the discussion pages would have been all abuzz for months if not a year or more.

He also reminded me of the man with the mushroom basement... I don't know what episode that was.

Tatiana - The mushroom guy was Milton Bobbit. Dawson sort of resembled him too.

Thanks Honey West hadn't heard of that before. And Legat whom Red just created. And Velov saying that he'd heard so much about Reddington, surprised they never met. heh heh.

MP theory?? So many people in this series look like others. Carla and Scottie come to mind first.
